DuringFortnite’s recent Galactic Battle mini-season, leakers like ShiinaBR found evidence in the game’s files that pets (also referred to as companions) could be coming to the title soon. According to the leakers, pets will follow the player as they run around the battlefield. Since they’re a cosmetic, they won’t offer any kind of advantage in combat scenarios. Leakers have suggested that existing back blings that feature pets like cats, dogs, and foxes will also be given new functionality, allowing the little creatures to run around.
Krypto May Be Added to Fortnite as a Pet Cosmetic
While Superman’s dog may be coming to the game as a cosmetic, players can alreadysummon Krypto inFortniteby throwing one of his treats on the ground. The item functions similarly to a grenade, as someone can toss the treat at a nearby opponent. Krypto will then crash down where the treat landed, damaging any foes nearby.
Some ofFortnite’s sprites have also been given a Superman makeover, as the blue creatures can now be seen wearing a tiny costume modeled after the superhero. Gamers can pick up these little sprites and return them to a nearby shrine or use them to attack enemies, as they now have the ability to shoot lasers from their eyes. With a whole new season to explore and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future ofFortnite.
