Epic Games claims that Atas, who also goes by Sincey Cheats and Vanta Cheats, has been engaging in this activity since January 2023. The lawsuit states that the software, which supposedly allows gamers to see through walls and auto-aim, gives cheaters an advantage over other players, bypasses Epic Games' anti-cheat systems, violates the game’s end-user license agreement, and damages the title by causing non-cheaters to stop playingFortnite. Oncefans leaveFortnite, they’re no longer purchasing in-game items, battle passes, and other features, which results in a monetary loss for the company.

The lawsuit also accuses Atas of impersonating an Epic Games employee, claiming that they sent multiple emails to YouTube’s copyright agent to circumvent DMCA takedowns the company had submitted to YouTube. It would seem that Epic Games believes Atas mimicked the company’s email addresses to masquerade as an employee with the authority to reverse the DMCA takedowns. Epic Games claims that it hasbanned thousands ofFortniteplayersfound to be using the cheat software. The lawsuit is also going after five unnamed individuals who are being accused of selling the software through Discord and various websites.
It was recently leaked thatFortnitemay be getting a new game mode, though it could be coming as a result of some major changes being made to Fortnite OG. According to the popular leaker HYPEX, Epic Games may be removing bots from Fortnite OG, which would result in lobbies only being filled with authentic players. Meanwhile, the leaker suggested that Epic Games may introduce a casual version of Fortnite OG where the lobby could consist of 12 players and 88 bots. None of this information has been officially confirmed, so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt.
