During your exploration of Murray’s Costume Manor inFive Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, you’ll eventually make your way through the warehouse and into the Loading Bay. It looks like MCM were getting into the Parade Float business, as several large parade floats are littering this section of the warehouse. With the help of a nearby crane, you’ll need to carefully rearrange these parade floats to make it through the Loading Bay and continue toward the Admin Block.
With only Executive Access remaining, reaching this puzzle inFive Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimicmeans that you’re incredibly close to having all the tools you need to explore the factory. All that stands in your way now is this puzzle, and the ever-present Mimic as it stalks you through the facility. Its latest disguise is the earliest version of Chica we’ve seen yet, gliding around on roller skates that make it a little harder to hear where the Mimic is and how far away it is.
How to Solve the Loading Bay Puzzle in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
After escaping from the Mimic, dressed as Chica and sliding around the warehouse on roller skates, players will find themselves in the MCM Loading Bay.It’s filled with Parade Floats, and you won’t be able to reach the stairs leading to the next area without rearranging them to create a path. Fortunately, by climbing up the stairs near where you entered, you can find the controls for a crane that can lift and move the Parade Floats, which are displayed on the computer screen next to it in a simple 2D format reminiscent of Tetris. You can’t move floats over other floats, so this functions like a sliding puzzle.
To get across the room, you’ll need to rearrange the Parade Floats twice, though completionists will also want to grab a collectible that can be reached by configuring the Parade Floats a different way first (see the section on how to get the collectible for details). First, we’ll need to reach the right side of the room, so we can access another set of crane controls. To do this, you’ll need to slide the float in the bottom-middle of the grid all the way up, and then over to the right, so that it slots into place next to the arrow in the upper right of the grid.
Then, move the float that is a vertical line (upper left of the grid) as far to the right as it will go, and then down one space. Finally, slide the float that is a horizontal line (lower left of the grid) as far over to the right as it will go. This will create a path leading from the bottom right of the grid to the upper right of the grid.
Once you’ve created a path, you’ll have to move carefully and with good timing to avoid getting crushed by any of the moving parts on the floats. Move quickly when the hammers rise back up to get past them, crouch under the alligator’s mouth and the stomping feet to get through as they rise, and stay crouched to avoid the spinners on the other float. This will take you to the other side of the room, allowing you to access a second set of crane controls and adjust the float positions from this side.
Starting from the position shown above, you’ll want to move the vertical line float straight up, as high as it’ll go. Then move the horizontal line float up and to the right, moving it out of the way for now. Move the top L-shaped float into the bottom right corner, so it’s touching the arrow in that corner, then move the horizontal line back across and into place, connecting the two L-floats and creating a path forward.
How to Get the Collectible in the Loading Bay in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
To get the collectible in this room, you’ll want to start by moving the float in the lower middle of the grid up a little, so it bridges the gap between the horizontal float on the left and the other L-shaped float on the right. This will create a path you’re able to walk across to reach a box containing a Junior Nurse Kit. Head back the way you came, and you can stash it using the Inventory machine near the entrance before moving on.
If you missed this collectible on your first visit, you should be able to return here and retrieve it after gaining Executive Access and returning to the Security Office, though the Mimic will continue patrolling in any locations where it showed up the first time, so waiting doesn’t offer any particular advantage here. You’ll need to rearrange the floats to access it, regardless of when you come to pick up this collectible.
