YourFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Timejourney doesn’t end when the credits roll. A variety of gameplay features await you in the postgame, and it’s a great time to reach max rank for your Lives, craft the best weapons/tools, etc. You’ll also be able to take on new quests that were locked in the previous seven chapters of the main story.Fantasy Life i’s postgame is for those who want to unravel the mysteries of Reveria. Here are the most important things you’ll want to do after beating the game.
Since the guide discusses post-game content, there are late-game spoilers within the article.
Golden Celestia’s Gifts
Help Flutter the Butterfly
After the credits, you should make way to the Goddess Statue at your Base Camp. You’ll notice a small butterfly fluttering about, and speaking to her will unlock the Golden Celestia’s Gifts. As their name indicates, these are Celestia’s Giftswith golden petals instead of blue. Unlike Celestia’s Gifts, however, they aremuchrarer and require you tomaintain a 5-star ranking for your Base Camp. If your camp dropsbelow 5 stars, Golden Celestia’s Gifts willstop appearing.
If you find your camp rank dropping, you should expand on the terrain using Hagram. You’ll also want to placeoutside decorations/furniture. As always, speaking to the Goddess Statue allows you to view your current ranking. you’re able to tell if you have 5-stars if there’sgold lightingin the Goddess Shrine area.
Once you have 50 Golden Celestia’s Gifts, return to Flutter and you’ll gain a new ally.
Craft the Legendary Equipment
Hunt for Legendary Power
If you explored Ginormosia, chances are you found the crafting recipes for the Tools of Time. These are arguablythe best tools you’re able to craft in-game, and if you manage to create onebeforecompleting the story, then you can enhance them in the postgame. There will be aPlundering Pantherat every base camp in Ginormosia. Speak to him to learn more about the weapons/tools and what you’ll need to craft them.
The main crafting recipe ingredient here is theLegendary Shiny Diamond, which can be mined from theLegendary Shiny Geode. The Legendary Shiny Geode is alevel 60 depositthat only appears in theWest Dryridge DesertandEast Dryridge Desert. It will only spawn if the area-ranking monsters arelevel 40, which means you should raise the tower rank toRank 3.
Mysterious Slates
Edward’s Research Requests
Speaking to Edward after defeating the final boss unlocks several gameplay features. The main one is theMysterious Slates, which can be given to Edwardin exchange for crafting recipesyou wouldn’t be able to obtain elsewhere. If your aim is to get the best armorFantasy Life ihas to offer, you’ll want to trade in any Mysterious Slates you get.
There are also some Master rank quests for your Blacksmith and Tailor Life that require you to make armor from the Mysterious Slate crafting recipes. You’ll need to make these if you want to reach Heroic rank.
Mysterious Slates drop fromshadow monsters. Shadow monsters appear in Fort Gardhart in Ginormosia, but you’ll have better luck farming them from theMonster Housefloors inTreasure Groves.
It’s highly recommended you equip armor or accessorieswith an Item Drop Rate+ skillwhen farming Mysterious Slates. When crafting/creating armor/accessories, use theTrip Appliqueto increase your chances of getting Item Drop bonuses. The Trip Applique recipe can be purchased from Marco once his shop is at 5-stars.
Break the Dark Seals
How to Farm Dark Fire
Another feature you’ll unlock from Edward is theDark Fire. You’ve probably noticed thosepurple/dark sealsin dungeons/cavesas you were playing through the main story. LIke the Mysterious Slates, these have a chance of dropping fromshadow monsters.
Each Dark Seal requires a different amount of Dark Fire to be removed. Unfortunately, Dark Seals bar you entry to rooms with rare materials, such as the Darktree Bark. So, if you’re crafting postgame recipes, you will need to get rid of certain seals.
Unfortunately, farming Dark Fire can beextremelytedious. You can either fight the monsters in Fort Gardhart, orkeep replanting Treasure Grove Saplingsuntil you get one that has aMonster Housefloor.
Here’s a tip for farming Dark Fire and Mysterious Slates from Treasure Groves:
As long as you don’t “complete” the Monster House floor, you can keep farming from the monsters there on each visit. When you’re ready to reach the end of the Treasure Grove, clear the Monster House floor as you would with any other floor.
Dark Dragon Rematch
Recall the Final Bosses
Talk to Edward (again), and you can choose the option “Recall” to fight the final bosses of the main story. You can also choose the difficulty for the Dark Dragon. There isn’t much to this feature asidefrom fighting a boss you’ve already beaten.
Reach Heroic Rank in All Lives
Which Life Should You Prioritize?
You probably have Master rank at this point in your playthrough, but if not, you should work to raise all your Lives to Heroic Rank. Doing so will unlock the “Pride” Specs item, such as Magician’s Pride or Miner’s Pride, which are special items that provide a useful boost to their respective Lives. You will also unlock unique Heroic Life specials for reaching Heroic Rank and unlocking the topmost node on the respective Skill Trees.
Reaching Heroic Rank for your Combat Livesrequires you to defeat [x] number of monsters [x] amount of times. Fortunately, most, if not all, of these monsters can be found on the 3rd floor in The Depths. If you’re trying to max out your Gathering or Crafting Lives, you’ll need to track down and farm rare materials (likely in The Depths 3F) or craft level 5 armor/accessories/etc.
Redesign Your Base Camp
Complete the Billboard Quests
Now that you have all of Hagram’s features unlocked, you should remodel your Base Camp. Doing a revamp will also affect your Base Camp rank, potentially raising it or dropping it depending on how much you change.
If you notice your rank has dropped, then you should probably add more (or less) to your Base Camp with Hagram as well as place objects outside to bring the rank back up. Remember that Golden Celestia’s Gifts will not spawn onBase Camps that are 4-stars or lower.
If you’re missing Hagram’s final function (the ability to add rivers/lakes), then you didn’t defeat the Hagram Guard on the 3F of The Depths. Defeating him drops the last key item you can give Hagram.
