Summary
Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Timeis filled with plenty of lives for the player to discover and enjoy as they explore the world. There arecountless combat livesfor the player to choose from, such as melee-based combat lives like Paladin and Mercenary, and a ranged option, such as Hunter. However, magic also exists inFantasy Life I, with the Magician Life being arguably one of the most interesting of these combat options.
Players will need to play as the Magician Life for a while if they hope to level it. With each successful level up, the player is rewarded with some skill points. These points can then be invested into the Magician life skill tree. From special attacks to boosts to the player’s SP, these are the best Magician skills a player should purchase.
8Special Charge +
Use The Magician’s Special Skill Sooner
Some of the best skills a player should be sure to invest in when using their Magician skill points are the skills that will allow them to use various skills sooner. As players level the Magician Life, they will gain access to something called a Special Skill. This allows them to charge up a bar that will then allow them to attack in an area with a deadly attack.
Usually, a player inFantasy Life Iwould likely have to waita whole battleto unlock this special skill to be used, but purchasing skills such as Special Charge + will mean a player will be able to use this attack much sooner, with some harder battles even allowing the player to charge it multiple times.
7Magic Attack +
Increase The Base Damage Of The Life
Although a player will likely determine the majority of the damage done to an enemy through the weapon they wield, there are various skills a player can purchase that increase the Magic Attack of the player overall. There are multiple skills like this on the right side of the Magician tree that start with only increasing the Magic Attack by 5, and then eventually move on to Magic Attack 10.
These may not be a priority over some of the other skills that are going to be mentioned, but players should still be sure to purchase some Magic Attack + as a Magician for that slight extra boost to their overall damage done while slinging spells.
6Collapsing Star
A Powerful Special Skill
As mentioned, through the Special Charge skill, there arevarious special skill attacksthe player can use. One option inFantasy LifeI a player should unlock is Collapsing Star. A deadly attack that produces a lethal black hole, which does both light and dark damage.
The one downfall with the Collapsing Star skill is that players will only unlock it once they have reached Master level in the Magician Life, and therefore, this is one of the skills a player is likely to unlock near the end of their time withFantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time. This is still a potentially great skill to purchase.
5SP +
Players Can Use More Hard-Hitting Attacks
While players can use regular attacks to fight the various enemies needed to gain both resources and complete the main story ofFantasy Life I,players will quickly run out of SP when using their charged attacks that deal far more damage. Thankfully, the skill tree for the Magician Life also caters to this when players look to the south of the tree.
Similarly to the Magic Attack skills, there are multiple SP + skills for the player to purchase, with the number of SP increasing the further down the player goes. There are clothes and accessories that can also increase the player’s SP, but this increases the base value for players.
4Spell Boost 1
Unlock Various Charge Attacks
Players can already charge their attacks for extra damage or to increase the effect established. As players begin to level, they will require stronger attacks, including the ones that are charged. Spell Boost 1 is one of many spell boosts the player can obtain within the Magician skill tree that unlocks multiple charged attacks for the player.
Depending on what spell they have equipped, this could include something that damages foes, such as Mystic Punishment, to aneffect that healsnot only the player but also their buddies with Healing Forest.
3Arcane Arts 2
Reduce The Charge Time Of Attacks
An issue with charge attacks inFantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Timeis that while the Magician, who is already quite the glass cannon, is charging their attack, this leaves them open to taking damage from the enemy they face. There are skills within the Magician Skill tree that attempt to prevent this issue, like Arcane Arts.
Each Arcane Arts skill the player purchases reduces the charge time of these charge attacks to let the player use them a lot quicker. This will benefit a Magician quickly during some clutch moments with bosses, while also allowing players to freely use their SP.
2Shooting Star
A Basic Special Skill That’s A Necessity
Before unlocking the master special skill of Collapsing Star, players can instead, and likely more often, use the other special skill, Shooting Star. This light damage attack is something the players will likely not be able to use frequently unless they have also purchased the Special Charge skill, though when they do have access to it, the skill is brilliant fordealing with groups of foes.
Another positive to this skill, which makes it one of the best Magician skills, is how early on the skill tree Shooting Star can be purchased, as long as the player has also saved 10 Magician skill points to purchase it instantly, they can then begin working toward Collapsing Star.
1Switch Magic
Unlock A Variety Of Magic
By far, one of the best skills for the Magician, as well as a skill players should save to unlock first, is the Switch Magic skill. Without purchasing this from the skill tree, the player is limited to the magic they can use. After gaining Switch Magic, players not only damage enemies, but can also create a shield for themselves to reduce the damage they take, as well as have a way to heal themselves.
This skill will also make Spell Boost more useful as a skill too. Since players can use the other charged effects from it since they can swap the type of magic they are using. Players will also need to unlock this skill anyway if they wish to make it further in the tree.
