Once you unlock new areas inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’re going to want to saddle up and get a mount. Mounts are creatures or vehicles that you can ride for faster transport in most areas.Fantasy Life ihas a total of 17 mounts. Some mounts can be purchased with Dosh, but others will require you to go out and hunt specific monsters, complete the main story, or craft.
How to Unlock Mounts in Fantasy Life i
Complete “Find a Ride”
You’ll unlock mounts after you’vereturned to the present(ie: complete Chapter 1). You will then reunite with Edward andexplore some of the Depths. An event will occur that sends you to a new area calledGinormosia.
From here, follow the main story objective markers, and you’ll eventually come across a sandy area that can’t be crossed on foot. You’ll then need to assist a boorbear boss merchant and give him x1 Soothing Water. Complete this quest, and you’ll get your first mount: a camel.

After you unlock the camel mount, you’ll be able to start collecting mounts. If you bought the Digital Deluxe Edition, thenyou’ll also receive the Mini Napdragon.
Mount Controls in Fantasy Life i
To summon a mount, tap L1/LB/L. If you try to call for your mount in an area that they can’t be summoned, a horse icon with a cross over it will pop up over your character. Generally, you’re able to’t use your mount inside buildings or caverns. You also can’t swim while riding a mount.
Controls for the mount are the exact same when you don’t have a mount. The sprint/dash and jump buttons are the same, and you can quickly dismount by tapping the action/attack button ofyour equipped Combat Life.

Every Mount Location
If your goal is to collect every mount inFantasy Life i, you’ll eventually need to complete the main story to get a postgame exclusive mount. Otherwise, you should be able to get the other 15-16 through regular gameplay. Also, keep in mind that theMini Napdragonmount is only available through the Digital Deluxe Edition.
To switch between mounts, go into the menu and selectMount. From there, select the picture of the mount you want to use.

Turtle
On the second island northwest of the Sacred Water Tree on the Tropica Isles.
Tortortoise
On the shores of Mysteria’s Capital, or on beaches in Ginormosia.
Cashmeer
Bottom-left area in Lulab Forest, west of the Recluse Cherry Tree.
Lulab Forest on Faraway Island or Wingtip Valley in Ginormosia.

When hunting mounts from enemies, equip an accessory or armor piece that hastheItem Drop Rate+skills. The skills on yourbuddies' armor can also stack with your money, meaning you can potentially have well over a 100% drop rate if your entire party is equipped with Item Drop Rate+ armor.
