Fallout 76 Developers Preview Upcoming Content

Bethesda seems focused on keepingFallout 76fresh and engagingby delivering regular, meaningful updates that give players a reason to stick around. In addition to these upcoming updates, they were also asked if playable super mutants might be added - a suggestion that comes up often. Rush and LaCoste acknowledged the interest, noting that it’s something they’ve noticed, but it’s not something they’re ready to confirm at this time.

Rush and LaCoste also talked about the success of the Gone Fission update, saying players have reacted really well to the new fishing feature. They explained that after recent updates added more intense features, likeFallout 76’s first raid Gleaming Depths, powerful four-star legendaries, and even the option to become a ghoul, the team felt it was a good time to add something a little lighter. Fishing gives players a chance to unwind between intense battles, and both Rush and LaCoste emphasized its value as a more casual, communal activity in the Wasteland.
