Every Nightfarer inElden Ring: Nightreignhas a story to tell, and they’re in the form of Remembrance quests. These are essentially flashbacks that let players experience the lost memories of the playable characters, and apart from getting to know more about them, these quests also give some unique rewards for each Nightfarer.
Remembrance quests are both simple yet confusing. Some are easy, while others are not so much. If you want to complete all Remembrance quests foreach of theNightreigncharacters, here’s a guide that briefly goes over the objectives in each quest as well as the rewards you can expect from them.
Spoiler warning for character story endings and the final boss ofNightreign.
How to Unlock Remembrance Quests
Players canview available Remembrance quests by visiting the Journal in the Roundtable Hold. Either walk up to the Journal and interact with it manually, or open up the Shortcuts menu by pressing your map button.
The Journal contains lore entries for each of the Nightfarers, and some of these entries contain the playable Remembrance quests for the character you selected. The way Journal entries are unlocked is seemingly random, but the best way to unlock more entries (and thus, more Remembrance quests), is to simply play as that specific character. Once you receive aMemory Fragmentduring your Expedition, you’ll unlock the next Journal entry for that character.
Remembrance quests areunlocked in sequential order, and they’re usually one Journal chapter apart. To unlock all the quests, players will need to commit to playing one character at a time.
After an Expedition, check the prompts that appear on the lower-right side of the screen to see if you received a Memory Fragment.
All Wylder Remembrance Quests and Rewards
The Wylder’s Remembrance questexplores the background and origin of this character as well as his ties to the Priestess, the mysterious curator of the Roundtable Hold. It mainly involves you interacting with NPCs and fetching items for the Iron Menial: the first is a Whetstone in a marked mine in Limveld, while the other is a Silver Tear in Noklateo, one of the possible Shifting Earth events.
All Guardian Remembrance Quests and Rewards
The Guardian’s Remembrance questis more straightforward than Wylder’s. Instead of fetching items, players will be looking for a Golem boss and a Merchant in Limveld. The locations of both will be marked on your map the next time you load into an Expedition, and all you have to do is beat the former andbuy the Third Volume item from the latter.
Quest steps that take place inside the Roundtable Hold only require players to interact with NPCs. However, in the final quest, players will have to choose betweenforgiving or punishing the Reclusefor her misdeeds. Depending on what you choose, you’ll get a different reward.
Speaking of rewards, here’s what they do:
The Witch’s Relic and Cracked Witch’s Relic have the same effect.
All Raider Remembrance Quests and Rewards
Raider’s Remembrance Quests inNightreignare unlike either of the ones above. Instead of having to go on Expeditions, Raider’s quests will teleport players toa special arena where they have to duel with bosses. In between these fights, you’ll need to speak to the Iron Menial and touch the monument at the Roundtable Hold. These quests might just be the easiest of the bunch, and they’re the quickest to finish too.
All Ironeye Remembrance Quests and Rewards
Ironeye’s Remembrance Quest is much simpler compared to the rest, but it is also one of the more difficult ones in the game, as it requires players tohunt a hostile Ironeye Phantom, the Darkdrift Knight boss, and the Heolstor the Nightlord. There’s not much else to say here, so grab your bow and get to hunting.
Finishing these quests will give you the following:
If you ever get lost during the Roundtable Hold segments, you can always refer to your map and look for the quest objectives there.
All Executor Remembrance Quests and Rewards
Executor’s questlineis a mix between Wylder’s and Ironeye’s. You’ll need to collect items in Limveld and defeat the bosses that spawn. Thankfully, this questline does not involve defeating any of the Nightlords, so it should be easier to do alone compared to Ironeye’s quests. As always, relevant objectives will be marked on your map by a red stamp.
All Recluse Remembrance Quests and Rewards
The Recluse’s Remembrance quest involves two boss fights (including a fight against the final boss) and a decent bit of exploration within the Roundtable Hold. The story and lore implications here are mind-boggling, and they’re best experienced personally.
All Duchess Remembrance Quests and Rewards
Duchess' Remembrance questsare more exposition-heavy than the others. It further explores her relationship with Wylder while shedding some more light on Raider and Revenant as characters. Perhaps the hardest part of this questline is getting all the Memory Fragments as Duchess, as she’s not exactly the easiest Nightfarer to use.
All Revenant Remembrance Quests and Rewards
Revenant’s Remembrance questis similar to Raider’s. Both will have players teleport to a location outside of Limveld where they have to fight some strong enemies. However, Revenant’s story is a bit bleaker, and it paints a strong picture that explains why she acts the way she does. It’s an interesting story that harkens back to the Painted Worlds ofDark Souls.
