Etheria: Restartbrings a new flavor to tactical RPG withits turn-based styleand open-world exploration. The world is set in a virtual metropolis, and players get to enjoy a variety of combat mechanics as they follow through the tumultuous story.
The game is free to play, friendly, and players who have already signed up for the pre-registration rewards can grab a handful of useful resources that will be required at the start. Additionally, most of the mechanics are quite easy to pick up, so here are some beginner tips and tricks you need to know before you startEtheria: Restart.
Choose The Right Animus
The best part about starting out onEtheria: Restartis that players can get an SSR character through their first summon. You do need to farm the resources to get the tickets to pull, but it’s not too stressful since you earn enough as you play the first couple of stories. The benefit here is that you canchoosewhich character to pick, and you have 40 pulls to do so.
There are a total of16Animus to choose from, but if you want to be smart, there are a few heavy hitters you can capitalize on to help carry you in the beginning:
Quite frankly, if you want a character that’s beginner-friendly, you can choose Tiamat. However, do remember that players receive Lian, Liangluo, and Rahu for free after completing certain in-game tasks, so it makes no sense to choose them on your first summon.
Familiarize Yourself With The Combat System
The combat system forEtheria: Restartis pretty straightforward, but there’s a lot to remember if you want to survive in the game. The game is turn-based and, depending on the battle, you can carry up to 5 characters for the fight. Each character comes with three skills, and as long as you match each fight with the recommended affinity (element), you should be able to clear the level. Additionally, keeping track of character progression and knowing where to spend your resources on leveling them up is also important.
This varies depending on the character you choose, but always be mindful not to level up the characters you are going to replace in the future. Make sure to first upgrade your Animus using your Investigation Materials and then find the necessary Modules for your character. If you’re a beginner, it’s better to focus on HP-centered Modules for shielders and healers, and ATK and Speed-centered Modules for DPS and Support. The third one is the Shell, and that’s basically a pet that helps every Animus fight. Finding the right Shell is rather important, but you can follow the same stats you used for your Module at the beginning before moving onto different builds.
Games Modes
Etheria: Restartis a PVE and PVP game. Players have two options to participate in, and each of them provides its own rewards. It’s structured in a way that PVE leaderboards are only available depending on the server you’re on, but making friends and joining Unions are possible across servers. The PVE mode is pretty straightforwardand includes:
PVP includes:
One thing that we recommend is to always try out PVP. It’s an enjoyable experience, and whether you lose or not, you earn a good amount of currency and anima. The game usually takes pity on you and sets you up with other players who have characters you can beat, and it’s only on the off chance that you do end up fighting against someone stronger. Nonetheless, the rewards are much appreciated, and the experience is worth the trouble.
Prioritize Farming
Once you have unlocked the first couple of chapters of the game, verify to use your daily energy to farm resources that you need to upgrade your Animus, Modules, and their Skills. If you choose an Animus like Tiamut, head over to the Terrormaton Boss to grab HP Modules for her that you’ll need. You will need to check which bosses give which drops before farming. It’s good to first focus on leveling your Animus, then their Modules, then Shells, and finally their Skills. There’s no such thing as overfarming, but it pays to besmart about what and how you farm.
Look For Chests During Investigations
This is not where you’ll earn some resources that help level up, but you can also get some gems by looking for chests. Exploration is fairly easy on these levels, and all you need to do is walk around to locate the chests. It’ll also helpbuild the habit of exploringwhenever you unlock new quests. Blue is the lowest rarity, and Gold is the highest.
Know Your Affinities
Etheria: Restarthas five affinities, and each of them has an advantage over the other. The first set follows a triangle cycle with Reason having an advantage over Hollow, Hollow having an advantage over Odd, and Odd having an advantage over Reason. Disorder and Constant counter each other. You need to make sure tocheckthe affinity type of the Boss before you enter battle and choose your team accordingly. If you go in with a team that has an affinity at a disadvantage, a bunch of negative status effects will take place.
