The Revenant is a class that plays quite unlike any other. This ghostly, spirit-commanding character may lack physical strength, but she more than makes up for it with the unique ability to summon allies. Because of this, she is one of thebetter solo classes inNightreign.

Indeed, playing as the Revenant is a bit like using the Spirit Summoning Bell inElden Ring. She has the Necromancy passive that allows her to revive defeated enemies to temporarily fight by her side, but she can also choose between three permanent summoned companions with the Summon Spirit character skill:

The Revenant Ultimate Art is Immortal March, which makes your nearby teammates unable to die for a few seconds when cast, preventing HP loss below 1. Though this is incredibly powerful in the middle of combat, especially if you time it right before a slew of boss attacks, it can also be used to easily revive allies from being downed.

If you cast this near an ally who is Near Death, you will instantly revive them. Additionally, Immortal March significantly empowers your summons, making them a truly intimidating presence on the battlefield. Ping your location with the self-ping input before casting this to coordinate your team and call allies back to receive this buff.

How To Unlock The Revenant In Nightreign

Purchase The Besmirched Frame, Then Battle The Revenant’s Spirit

To play as the Revenant,Nightreignplayers must first unlock the Duchess. Then, once she has joined the cause, you must save up enough Murk to purchase the Besmirched Frame from the Small Jar Bazaar. In the Roundtable Hold, you’re able to find the Small Jar Bazaar around the corner from the place where Smith Hewg could be found inElden Ring, just outside the doorwhere Fia kills D, Hunter of the Dead.

To get Murk, you must embark on Expeditions. You do not need to complete an Expedition to get Murk, but the further you get through the three-day cycle, the more you will get. You need a total of 1,500 Murk to purchase the Besmirched Frame.

Once acquired, head back to the Roundtable and enter the hallway next to the character selection statue (just outside of what would normally be Gideon Ofnir’s study). With the Frame in your inventory, you should be able to see the spirit of a girl here.

Touch the spirit and you will be transported into an instanced combat area within Limveld. Make your way down to the combat arena and you will see the Revenant (called the Night Idol) waiting to confront you. When combat begins, she will summon all three of her Summon Spirit companions.

Engage the Night Idol and take out her three summons one by one as you avoid heronslaught of Miquella’s Rings spells. Once all three summons are out of the picture, turn your attention to the Night Idol.

Defeat her, and you will automatically return to the Roundtable Hold and unlock the ability to play as the Revenant. Head to the character selection statue or the Sparring Grounds to swap to the Revenant class and try out this character’s unique summoning playstyle.
