Summary
Elden Ring Nightreignwill undergo server maintenance for the purpose of deploying its latest patch, FromSoftware has announced. Identified by version number 1.01.1, the upcoming release is set to continue building onElden Ring Nightreign’s day-one update.
FromSoftware’s latest title debuted on May 30 to significant momentum.Over 300,000 people were playingElden Ring Nightreignon Steam alonewithin two hours of its release, with publisher Bandai Namco later clarifying the game had surpassed 2 million sales at launch. Commercial success aside, the co-op roguelike’s Steam reviews are currently in the “Mixed” category, based on nearly 31,000 player impressions as of June 1. The mixed reactions are largely due to the game presently lacking duos and the ability to communicate with other players.
Following therelease ofElden Ring Nightreign’s patch 1.01, FromSoftware is now preparing to deploy a smaller update, labeled as 1.01.1. To that end, the developer hasscheduleda maintenance period for Monday, June 2, beginning at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 10 CEST. The process will last exactly three hours across all the game’s target platforms, FromSoftware said.
Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.01.1 Server Maintenance Times
The patch notes attached to the previously released day-one update identified it as introducing “regulation version 1.01.1,” FromSoftware’s term for config files such as balance tables, enemy stats, and event flags—essentially any gameplay data stored separately from the main codebase. Since the June 2 deployment references the same version number, the implication is that it will deliver an incremental update to this dataset rather than modify the game’s executable files, which FromSoftware versions separately under the “app version” label. For context,Elden Ring Nightreignis currently at app version 1.01.
At Least 2 Elden Ring Nightreign Patches Are Coming Next Week
Separately, the Japanese developer recentlyannounced plans to improveElden Ring Nightreign’s solo play. To that end, the studio aims to release (app version) update 1.02, which promises solo expedition improvements in the form of boosted rune acquisition rates and the introduction of the “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat” effect. The latter will give solo players one free revival per boss battle, similar to FromSoftware’sSekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The developer said the 1.02 patch will be deployed on the week of June 2. Therefore,Elden Ring Nightreignwill seemingly receive at least two updates over the course of the following week.
The co-op roguelike is expected to continue receiving updates for the foreseeable future. However, withFromSoftware previously stating thatElden Ring Nightreignis not a live-service game, the extent and duration of its post-launch support remain unclear and could ultimately be shorter than some players would prefer.
