Over the past couple of weeks, FROMSoftware has continued to reveal new details about the upcoming game, while also providing an overview trailer to give fans an even better look at what the moment-to-moment gameplay will be like.Elden Ring Nighreignhas even revealed two new Nightfarer classesthis week, the swordsman known as Executor and the spirit summoning Revenant. With the launch date so close, FROMSoftware is using the time to make a few final tweaks to the core experience.
Even though the game is set to launch on May 30, FROMSoftware has released what can be called a pre-release update forElden Ring Nightreign. While the patch notes themselves aren’t very specific, Update 1.01 does take aim at smoothing some of the rough edges before players can go hands on, including additional balance adjustments, bug fixes, and more character scenarios. The update also makes improvements to the handling of playable characters, with many fans assuming climbing has been enhanced, a common criticism from players during theElden Ring Nightreignbeta tests.
Interestingly enough, FROM Software is patchingElden Ring Nightreignbefore it has even launched. Regardless, this latest update aims to make the launch of the game even smoother, though Bandai Namco did offer a warning for those on PC. Unfortunately, for those using some of the latest video cards, frame rate drops may occur. Thankfully, the issue is already being investigated, so hopefully the wait for a fix won’t be too long.

Earlier this week,Nightreignbecame the most wishlisted game on Steam, moving ahead of all other highly anticipated games likeHollow Knight: SIlksong. It’s clear there’s a lot of excitement from the community to jump back into this world that FROMSoftware has created, so May 30 should be a big day.

- We have confirmed that somePC configurationsusing the latest graphics cards may experience frame rate drops. We are currently investigating the cause. In the meantime, If you experience significant frame rate drops, you may be able to resolve it by setting the graphics settings from the default “High” to “Medium” or “Low” and lowering the screen resolution, as well as installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.
