Elden Ring Nightreignhas two additional classes for players to unlock after starting the game with the first six. The first class you’llunlock is the Duchess, and she is arguably one of the best damage dealers in the game as long as you know how to properly use her.
Duchess has a fairly low bar of entry when first trying her out, but getting the most out of this class will require you to know the ins and outs of her Character skill, along with a good team to help you distract enemies to let you deal the damage.
Basic Mechanics & Passive Skill Of Duchess In Elden Ring Nightreign
Duchess is a fast-moving character who can’t take much of a hit, and is an ideal class for those who likeBloodborne. Her passive skill is Magnificent Poise, which allows her tododge twice consecutively, along with using less stamina when attacking and dodging. Her dodge also keeps her on her feet, letting you quickly chain in a counterattack or dodge again if you need to create more space between yourself and an enemy. This character’s main goal in any fight is to hit-and-run, dealing as much damage as quickly before jumping away.
Duchess Character Skill & Ultimate Art In Elden Ring Nightreign
The centerpiece of playing Duchess is her Character SkillRestage, and using it correctly will greatly increase her damage output. Activating Restage creates a ghost of any enemy that has taken damage over the last few seconds, and willhave that ghost relive the last few seconds, taking all the damage that was just dealt, again. Ghosts can be interacted with, but you’ll see them react just like the real enemy did, and the damage done to them will be about 50% of the original damage.
When used correctly,a flurry of attacks will really do 150% damage to any enemies, and the recharge timer on this skill is only a few seconds.Restagealso works for damage dealtby your allies, including abilities that let you essentially boost the damage of your allies, too. Hits done to ghosts because ofRestagealso build up bonus effects from your weapon, meaning you can break the stance of any enemy or inflict them with bleed or poison without having to actually hit them the final time.
Restagecan also be used anytime you may physically press the buttons when it’s charged up, so you can use it mid-dodge, attack, or even when getting thrown around from a powerful hit. Her Ultimate Art is calledFinale, and it’s much simpler in that itturns her and nearby allies invisible for a few seconds. Some enemies will still be able to detect you, and you can still get hit from a flailing attack, but the invisibility will last the full duration, no matter what you choose to do at that time.
