Dynamax Hatenna Max Battle Guide in Pokemon GO
If you want to participate in the Dynamax HatennaPokemon GOMax Battleyou should know its type-weaknesses and resistance. Once you figure those out, you can then select the best Dynamax Hatenna Max Battle counters. The Hatenna you encounter during the Max Mondays can Dynamax during Max Battles.
Dynamax Hatenna Weaknesses & Resistances
Dynamax Hatenna is a pure Psychic-type Pokemon. This gives it a clear and focused set of weaknesses, specifically Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type moves. Attacks of these types deal 60% more damage, making them your best choice to cut through Hatenna’s defenses in a short window.
On the other hand, Hatenna resists Psychic and Fighting-type attacks. If you bring Pokemon that use either of these move types, expect their damage to be reduced by nearly 38%. For that reason, always avoid Psychic and Fighting Pokemon when preparing your Max Battle team this time around. With this resistance profile and the fact that you’re limited toonly Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon in these battles, choosing effective counters becomes more crucial than ever.
Hatenna’s one-type nature gives you a small but clear set of strategic options.Try exploiting its triple weaknesswhile avoiding any same-type or resisted attackers.
Dynamax Hatenna Counters
While you’re limited by which Pokemon you can bring into Max Battles, some clear favorites stand out for this specific battle.Your top option isDynamax or Gigantamax Gengar. It’s a Ghost-type that can shred through Psychic-types with ease, especially with moves like Shadow Ball and Lick. If you have access to multiple Gengars, especially those from earlier events or previous raids, this is your moment to let them shine.
Next up isDynamax Ursifu, which brings both Fighting and Dark-typing to the table. While the Fighting-type aspect doesn’t help here, equipping Dark-type Fast and Charged moves makes it a strong Hatenna counter. The fact thatKubfu (its first evolution stage) was featured recentlymeans that there’s a good chance you have a viable Ursifu ready.
Dynamax Metagrossis another sleeper pick. While it’s not a Ghost or Dark-type, it can be taught Bug-type moves, and that alone makes it viable against Dynamax Hatenna thanks to the triple weakness. Bug-type moves hit just as hard, and Metagross’s naturally high stats ensure it can take hits as well as dish them out.
Be sure to check forfoggy weather in-game, as it boosts both Dark and Ghost-type moves. This gives you the upper hand in DPS, making the battle easier.
