Production has lots of secrecy around it, basically like the show. But I know that it will have all of the factions going against each other. I know that much at least.
Heuston’s character, Constantine, isEmperor Javicco’s illegitimate son with Sister Francesca. He is among the most interesting characters inDune: ProphecySeason 1because he is multifaceted. He always seeks his father’s approval while seeking his own identity amid the intricate political landscape of the Imperium. In a previous interview withCBR, he shared that his take on Constantine was inspired by Prince Hal and Prince Harry. Heuston said he read Prince Harry’s biography, “Spare,” and he put it together to deliver a “tragic hero.” He used the Duke of Sussex’s book to get a first-person point of view of a royal family and how it feels to be a second option in the hierarchy. He admitted that it was challenging to dig deeper because royals usually keep their lives private, but Prince Harry’s book allowed him to access the feelings and information he needed for his character. He teased that as the series progresses, fans will continue to see more of Constantine’s intellect and talent.
Dune: Prophecyfans are excited for the next season because Season 1 ended with a major cliffhanger. Also, they wanted to see Constantine’s evolution, especially after the deaths of his parents, which left a leadership void and set the stage for fierce competition as to who would take over the throne. With Constantine leading the Imperial fleet, he might assert his claim despite being an illegitimate son. However, his half-sister, Princess Ynez, is supported byBene Gesserit, the powerful sisterhood led by Valya Harkonnen. The potential conflict between the siblings promises a rich tapestry of political maneuvering and familial tension. To make it even more interesting, Constantine and Princess Ynez share a deep bond. So, seeing them drift apart will add emotional depth to the narrative.
