Solarisis themain currency inDune: Awakening, and something players will need to keep in large quantities if they want to keep their bases running. Every player needs to pay weekly taxes, and if they don’t, their bases will be nuked by the Sardaukar (aka destroyed).
But money (Solaris) can be used for more than paying taxes. From purchasing special recipes from vendors to acquiring items in the Exchange from other players, money is the key to success inDune: Awakening. So, here’s a full guide on how to get lots of Solaris in Dune: Awakening.
How To Get Lots Of Money Fast In Dune Awakening
There are currently three ways to get Solaris faster inDune: Awakening, and these will be addressed in order, taking into consideration what players need to do as they reach the endgame. The first method can be completed without aerial transport, but for the other two, players are recommended to use anOrnithopter, so be sure to obtain one quickly.
verify not to hoard too much Solaris in your base, and visit one of the social Hubs (Arrakeen or Harko Village) to deposit Solaris in the bank, so that they aresafe from Sandworm incidents.
Fast Quest Method
The Quest farming Method consists of following the Main Questline direction and complete all secondary quests players come across with, that way, they willearn tons of Solarisand also get important gear they need to progress in the game.
Besides theMain Quests(Purple Colored) players can complete variousside missionsthat are spread across the whole map, and as they explore, level up, and farm Solaris, these will offer an extra income source for those aiming to establish a good money base.
Players will start at Griffin’s Trading Post and pick up all the quests in Hagga Basin South. Completing all the missions in the area while looting the chests will yield them at least100k Solarisbefore they even leave their first bases.
From there, the next destination will be the Anvil Trading Post in the Vermillius Gap area. Build a base near the trading post, and follow the quests in the area. Don’t forget the pickDerek Chinara’s planetologist questline, as it yields tons of solaris (at least 70k for the first series of quests).
When players reach the Hagga Rift area, that’s where the real money is. Following the CHOAM Mining Station route from Hagga Rift North (near the Harkonnen Base) to the South (Pinnacle Trading Post) is quite lucrative. There are tons ofCheststo loot, whichdrop Solaris, and there are also at least 3 dozen quests to complete in the area.
By this time, players will probably have their Ornithopter unlocked, or at least, a Tier 3/4 Sandbike. That will speed up things a little bit, so let’s get intoMid-Game/Late-Game Solaris farming.
Optimized Solaris Farming For Mid-Game/Late-Game
There are two mechanics players should be aware of by now: Quests yield Solaris at each completion step, and Chests from Points of Interest (POIs) will yield a considerable amount of Solaris each time players open them. Chests renew every 20-30 minutes, and Schematic Chests (which are located in special spots, or in the last room of certain PoIs) respawn every 45 minutes.
With that knowledge in hand, players should be able to comfortably establish their own farming route, but if they want to optimize getting as much money as possible, they should follow the next PoI route, using an Ornithopter to speed up farming as much as possible:
Players can check thisfully interactive map of Arrakisfor reference on the mentioned POIs. Take into consideration that the map is being filled as more and more content is discovered.
Most of these POIs are filled with chests that contain Solaris and otherresourcesthat are always inhigh demandat Pinnacle Station, so they can besold for up to 20%moreat the NPC traders (in case the player has a surplus of these mats), which racks up even more the quantity of Solaris earned per run. Not to mention the Special Schematic Chests at each location, which drop from 2000 to 4000 Solaris each.
Ornithopter Part Mass Production (Sell To Players For Lots Of Solaris)
The third method to farm Solaris in absurd quantities is to sell a full Ornithopter set (parts to build it) at the social hub Exchange. That means traveling to Arrakeen or Harko Village and putting up some sells at the Auction House, and also, having everything to cract a full Ornithopter. To build a complete Ornithopter players will need the following mats:
If players were following the Schematic Farming route, they would have most of the components for the Ornithopter already at a surplus in their bases, but they will still need Aluminum and Erythrite for the Ingots and Cobalt Paste. These can be easily obtained between Pinnacle Station and Hagga Rift, by farming the CHOAM Mining Stations spread across the rift and the rock pillars that are often full of materials such as Aluminum and Carbon.
Once players have enough mats, they can build a full Ornithopter Set (4 x Wings, 1 x Chassis, 1 x Cockpit, 1 x Engine, 1 x Generator, and 1 x Hull and sell it for around 1 million Solaris if they feel like the market is blooming, or around 500 K if the demand is on low.
