How To Unlock The Radiation Suit In Dune: Awakening
To unlock the Radiation Suit inDune: Awakening,players will have tocomplete the Fourth Trial of Aqland then the Fifth Trial of Aql. This will allow them to unlock not only the Thumper and other important pieces of technology, but also open the pathway to researching the Radiation Suit.
Players will need20 Intel Pointsto unlock this suit, and have theGarment Fabricatorunlocked and built in their bases. Then, the materials needed to craft this piece of protective gear are not easy to gather:
Water is easy to obtain inDune: Awakening, the problem is the other materials, sinceAluminium requires tons of oresand water to be crafted. The other hard-to-get material is the Silicone Block, which has to be fabricated in theChemical Refinery using Flour Sand, though getting enough of it without being eaten by the Sandworm is quite a challenge.
Players can also craftIodine PillsusingAgave Seeds found in the O’odhamto increase their Radiation Resistance and diminish the buildup of the toxic effect.
Finally, Plasteel Microflora Fiber can be obtained in any of thewreckage from a capital shipin Hagga Basin. Though players should be extremely careful when delving into these places, since they’re filled with powerful elite enemies and PvP is active in these zones.
Once players have all the mats they need, they will be able to equip the protective suit, which covers the entire body and makes armor unusable. Then, they will notice the protective Radiation Suit has a certain amount of ‘tolerance.’ Meaning that the Mark 4 suit protects from conventional levels of Radiation (up to Level 4), and from there on, players will need a more powerful suit.
