Ahead of the game’s launch, Funcom revealedDune: Awakening’s different editionsup for grabs, and there are three versions players can bag. The Standard Edition comes with its perks, including the Sunset Dye Global Swatch. The Deluxe Edition offers an additional Season Pass, the Sardaukar Bator Armor, and the Head Start bonus, which allowed players to dive in from May 15. Lastly, the Ultimate Edition includes the Caladan Palace Building Set, a digital artbook and soundtrack, a Stillsuit from the 2021 movie, and more.
Revealed through aSteam blog post, Funcom confirmed thatDune: Awakeningwill feature private servers, but the catch involved is rather complicated. In short, players’ private servers will exist in a world full of other private servers, so that characters can meet others in social hubs and the Deep Desert. Essentially, players’ private servers will be part of a public sector, which some aren’t too happy about. To experience the game’s private servers as soon as possible, therelease dates and times forDune: Awakeninghave already been announced, and while the server specifics are leaving some fans confused, it’s likely to make better sense once future players get their hands-on experience with the gameplay.

The Landsraad hosts the Great Houses of the game and adds some heavy political decision-making that influences the rest of the community. Furthermore, the Schools of the Imperium, a feature that wasn’t available during the beta, is where players can educate their character in different schools to unlock aspects of the skill tree and abilities.
