Fans expect Frieza to be a formidable foe and the Z-Fighters to have a lot of trouble before finally beating him for good. While many Super fans have issues withDragon Ball Daima, the series introduced something that would be of great help in the upcoming Black Frieza arc: Medi Bugs.

What Should the Black Frieza Arc Be Like?

Black Frieza is probably the most anticipated enemy inDragon Ball Super. Since his introduction in the Granolah arc, fans have been eagerly waiting to see him in action.V-JUMPcreated even more anticipation by establishing that Black Frieza is so powerful that it can’t even be measured.

For this reason, the Black Frieza arc should be one of the most challenging moments in allDragon Ballarcs. Fans expect no less than one of the most memorable arcs, just like the original Frieza arc inDragon Ball Z. However, there is still no information regarding when this arc might start: many speculate thatDragon Ball Superwill return from hiatus with the Black Frieza arc, but Toyotaro could follow a different direction. Technically, the Black Frieza arc hasn’t been officially confirmed to happen, but Toyotaro has teased Black Frieza so much that it seems unlikely thatDragon Ball Superwould end without bringing this powerful enemy into action.

Will Black Frieza Be the Final Villain in Dragon Ball Super?

Since it isn’t confirmed when the Black Frieza arc will happen, it is also still unknown if it will be the final arc in the story. However, Black Frieza is teased as such an overpowered foe that it’s hard to imagine how the story could introduce another villain who would be more powerful than him, and that would also resonate with fans as much as Frieza does.

I couldn’t very well keep losing to you Saiyans my whole life, so I needed a bit of a power-up. Meet Black Frieza. Achieving this form took plenty of toil, I’ll have you know.

— Frieza

Black Frieza is believed to beon par with Gods of Destruction. WhileDragon Ballalways knows how to circumvent power-scaling issues by introducing something even bigger than anything previously known, it might feel like the series is being stretched too far. The Black Frieza arc will likely involve a high level of tension, as Frieza will definitely take advantage of his new form to conquer the universe—perhapsCooler might finally appear in the manga.

Join Bugs Are Perfect for the Black Frieza Arc

It has already been established that Black Frieza is more powerful than the Z-Fighters at their current highest potential. Many fans expect a new power-up to be introduced, which would allow them to defeat Black Frieza (and maybe Black Cooler too). However, the series could use something introduced inDragon Ball Daimaand take a different route.

DB Daimaintroduced Medi Bugs, special bugs with unique abilities. Among the Medi Bugs, there are theJoin Bugs, which allow up to three people to fuse. With these bugs, the Z-Fighters could defeat Frieza with new fusion combinations. One fusion that fans would definitely love to see is Vegeta, Goku, and Broly, but the possibilities are many. It would also be great to see Gohan and Piccolo fuse for once. Anyway, with Medi Bugs, Toyotaro wouldn’t necessarily need to introduce a new transformation, as the fusions would allow the character to reach new levels of power.

Are DB Daima and DB Super Set in the Same Timeline?

Dragon Ball Daimais supposed to take place betweenthe end of the Majin Buu Saga andDragon Ball Super, according to official information released before the series aired. However, there are a few continuity inconsistencies betweenDaimaandSuper. While these are minor contradictions, they led many fans to believe that both stories could be set in separate universes. Akio Iyuko apparently teased this possibility in an interview by placingDaimaas a sequel to the manga, but not mentioningSuper.

However, unless new information emerges, these two series are set in the same timeline. It would be nice if they took place in different universes, as it would open many possibilities for the franchise, but the official answer for now is thatDaimaandSuperare partof the same chronology.
