For those who pre-ordered thePro/Elite editionsofRematch,the arcade football (soccer) gamecan already be played. However, there are still somelingering questions, especially for those who haven’t jumped into the action yet and are potentially still on the fence about purchasing the game.
With the official release, there have also been some updates from the developers Sloclap, with one of these answering the most frequently asked question:DoesRematchhave crossplay?If players have only bought the Standard edition,Rematchwill beavailable for them to play on June 19th, 2025.
Does Rematch Support Crossplay?
At launch,Rematchdoes not support crossplay, meaning players on different platforms cannot team up yet. However, Sloclap have reiterated thatcrossplay is their top priority, and as they aimed to have it ready for launch, players canexpect it soon.
This also means that players on Steam and Game Pass PC cannot play together yet.
Does Rematch Have Cross-Progression?
At the time of writing, itdoes not appear thatRematchwill feature cross-progression, which allows players to carry over their account and progress across different platforms. This could be implemented in the future, but for now, crossplay is the focus for Sloclap.
Can You Upgrade Editions Of Rematch?
If players have pre-orderedRematchand wish toupgrade to a better edition, they will have torefund the game and buy the desired edition.
However, after the game’s official launch on June 19th 2025, there will beofficial ways to upgrade on each store, with players simply paying extra for the new content.
Is Rematch Available On Xbox, PlayStation, & PC?
Rematchis available onPC,PlayStation, andXbox Series X/S. Players on PC can choose whether to use theirkeyboard and mouse or a controller. At the moment, there is no news on whetherRematchwill eventually be released on the Nintendo Switch or Switch 2.
Steam playerswill be able to playRematchon their Steam Decks, but it has not been officially verified, and they will likely be at a slight disadvantage.
Is Rematch Available On Game Pass?
Rematchis available toplay for free on Xbox Game Pass, via Game Pass PC & Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions.
It is also possible toupgrade to the Pro/Elite editionson the Xbox Store.
Rematchis not available for free on PlayStation Plus, but this is required to play online.
Does Rematch Have Microtransactions & Is Rematch Pay-To-Win?
Rematchallows players tocustomize their character, stadiums, and much more.Plenty is unlocked for freevia leveling up and progressing through seasonal battle passes. Players can also pay to unlock the Premium battle pass, and real money via microtransactions can bespent in the store.
However,Rematchis not pay-to-win. None of these cosmetics will help players on the pitch. Every player has the exact same skills and stats.
Can You Play Rematch Offline/Against The AI?
Outside of the prologue and repeatable training drills, there isno offline mode forRematch. If players want to play matches, they will have to do so against other players online.
However, the developersplan to eventually add AIto play against and with.
How Many Players Can Play Rematch?
Currently, there are three sizes of games inRematch. These are3 vs 3,4 vs 4, and5 vs 5. This means teams of 5 players can play online together. There are alsocustom games, meaning players could theoretically play as agroup of 10. Custom games also allowsmaller teams, such as 1 vs 1.
Modes featuring larger team sizes could be released in the future, although bigger pitches might be required.
