Like most simulation games,Disney Dreamlight Valleyprovides players with a roster of tools to help them explore their surroundings. This batch of Royal Tools is essential toDisney Dreamlight Valley’s gameplay, allowing players to fish with the Royal Fishing Rod, take photos with the Royal Phone, mine with the Royal Pickaxe, maintain crops with the Royal Watering Can, and dig for resources with the Royal Shovel. But the Royal Tools have seen their fair share of expansions as the game has expanded into DLC itself.

Disney Dreamlight Valleycurrently features two expansion passes: A Rift in Timeand the Storybook Vale expansion. Of course, both DLC passes introduced new characters and worlds toDisney Dreamlight Valley, but they also gave players new tools, including a new Royal Tool. A Rift in Time introduced the Royal Hourglass and the Storybook Vale introduced the Royal Net. Players who only haveDisney Dreamlight Valley’s base game aren’t missing out on these tools, as they are used for DLC-exclusive gameplay: the Royal Hourglass is used to detect and extract Mist and the Royal Net is used to capture Snippets. With the possibility and precedent set for more Royal Tools to hitDisney Dreamlight Valley, it would only make sense for Gameloft to utilize one of the most iconic tools of all time if one of Disney’s most popular IPs fully joins the hit simulation game.

As part of the Wonderland Whimsy update, newStar Warsitems hitDisney Dreamlight Valley’s Premium Shop. This was the debut ofStar Warscontent inDisney Dreamlight Valley. Historically speaking,Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas only added characters from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios to its character roster. However, Gameloft has turned to other properties, primarily the Disney parks and Disney Channel Original Movies, as inspiration for the game’s various furniture, clothing, and decor. The introduction of theStar Warsitems received positive reception from players, butDisney Dreamlight Valley’s playerbase has expressed hesitation about introducingStar Warsand the MCU in a character capacity intoDisney Dreamlight Valley.

If Gameloft and Disney are dedicated toaddingStar WarstoDisney Dreamlight Valley, making the property DLC exclusive seems like the best route. This will give players the choice to addStar Warscontent to their game, rather than forcing everyone to accept the property. It would also make adding a Lightsaber Royal Tool quite simple.

What a Royal Lightsaber Could Look Like

As mentioned,Royal Tools are used for integralDisney Dreamlight Valleygameplay, but only with regard to DLC content. In the case of the Expansion Pass exclusive Royal Tools, the Hourglass and Net are necessary to progress the plots of their respective DLC. Therefore, the Royal Lightsaber must interact with some obstacles that players must overcome. Since Lightsabers are obviously modeled after swords, perhaps the new tool could be used to slash down a dangerous entity slowly taking over the Valley.

From there, Gameloft would have to decide the driving antagonist of theStar WarsExpansion Pass. Maybe, somehow, Palpatine returned yet again, this time toDisney Dreamlight Valley. Alternatively, players could be tasked with slashing down Stormtroopers who have invaded the Valley, though Gameloft and Disney could find this to be too violent for the child-friendly simulation game. Things could be taken even further, with players left with a choice to join the Light or Dark sides. This would then be reflected in the color of their lightsaber. Regardless of how Gameloft chooses to introduce the tool, a Royal Lightsaber would be the perfect addition to aStar Wars-themedDisney Dreamlight ValleyExpansion Pass.
