Dexter Resurrection’s Debut Season Episode Titles Have Been Released

The last time audiences saw Dexter Morgan, he was fighting for his life in hospital in the opening sequence of the prequel series,Original Sin, beforeMichael C. Hall’s voiceoverkicked in to narrate America’s favorite serial killer’s origin story as his life flashed before his eyes. The success of Showtime’s limited seriesDexter: New Blood, Michael C. Hall’s desire to return to the Dexter-verse and the merger with Paramount made the new spin-off series,Resurrection, inevitable. With just over a month to go until the premiere,Dexter: Resurrection’s debut season’s 10 episodes now all have official titles:

106 - Cats and Mouse

109 - Touched by an Ángel

110 - And Justice For All…

The first episode ofDexter: Resurrection, ‘A Beating Heart’, is likely a reference toDexter actually being alive, after seemingly succumbing to a gunshot wound to the chest inflicted by his teenage son, Harrison, in the finale ofNew Blood. The second episode, ‘Camera Shy’, is an intriguing one, in light ofDexter: Resurrection’s New York setting, with the serial killer with a code possibly on the run from authorities after recovering from his injuries, and possibly needing to avoid the glare of the many CCTV cameras in one of the busiest cities in the world.Dexter: Resurrection’s penultimate episode, ‘Touched By An Angel’, feels like an obvious reference tofan favorite, Angel Batista, who could be set for a stand-off with Dexter, after discovering the truth about the Bay Harbor Butcher murders. As for the finale ‘And Justice For All’, this is not likely to feature Dexter’s capture, as showrunner, Clyde Phillips, has stated the intention forResurrectionto run for multiple seasons.
