Mr. Ant Tenna is showered with flowers by his own audience - Deltarune

Deltarune Chapter 3: Ant Tenna’s TV Time Game Show

The chapter opens with Kris and Susie waking up in the Dark World. There’s not a whole lot to do in the first few minutes ofDeltaruneChapter 3, but that’ll change soon. For now, just follow the linear path forward until you meet up with Ralsei. Then, keep going until you’re interrupted by the man himself: Mr. Ant Tenna.

That’s right, this chapter is a game show! Choose any combination of three letters for your name. This doesn’t affect anything, so choose whatever you like. Once introductions are out of the way, you’ll find yourself in aZelda-style minigame for the first round of Tenna’s TV Time game show.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Physical Challenge

You’ll be rated based on your performance in each round of Tenna’s game show, with S-rank being the most coveted score. An S-rank requires 1500 points per round, and you can farm points via battles, quizzes, and puzzles.

Round One

The goal of this minigame is to find three keys and open the locked door. There are four keys in total, though, and grabbing all of them will net you some extra points. You’ll encounter normal enemies throughout this section in addition to blue spiral enemies that will pull you into a multiple-choice quiz if they touch you.

To beat the shadow enemies you find in this area, select Boogie and use S-Actions and R-Actions to have Susie and Ralsei join in on the fun. This will make the enemies tired, allowing you to use Ralsei’s Pacify spell to spare them.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Key 2

Key #1

The first key is only a few steps from the spawn location. You can buy it for 250 points inside the shop. Remember this for later once you have enough.

Key #2

The second key is hidden in plain sight behind some trees and pots as soon as you head south from the starting screen. To access it, you need to bring two Q items to the sphinx in the top-right corner of the map. The Q items are obtained by completing two quizzes. You’ll find the quiz enemies as you search for the other keys.

This guide has allDeltaruneChapter 3 quiz answersif you need help.

Once you have both Q items, bring them to the sphinx and solve the final set of quiz questions. Along the way, solve the puzzle just before the sphinx to unlock the Power Croissant for Susie. This gives her the ability to pick up and throw pots. After answering the Sphinx’s questions, it will open a path to the left that leads to the key you walked by at the start of the minigame.

Key #3

The third key requires you to rescue Lancer in the top-left corner of the map. Stand on the button, and Susei will throw Ralsei over to collect Lancer. Take Lancer to the pool of water one screen down and to the left. He’ll dig up the key for you and unlock a boss fight in another part of the map.

Key #4

The fourth key is hidden in the cactus field. One of the Pippins tells you that “the cactus that lived upstairs loves you.” Use this information to find the specified cactus and push it to the side to reveal the fourth key. you may tell this cactus from the others because it blushes when you get close.

Boss Battle: Lanino and Elnina

Since Lancer dug up the water source earlier, these two lovebirds no longer have a pretty pool of water to relax by. They’re guarding the Mooncloud Stone, which is the final piece you need to unlock the door and complete the round.

Tenna tells you that you need to say “I love TV” 99 times to secure victory, but things quickly go off rails. Keep shouting “I love TV” while avoiding the incoming attacks. Eventually, Elnina and Lanino will start arguing. They’ll even ask you whose attack is your favorite. Choose whichever you like. The chosen attack will become more powerful on future turns.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Quiz-1

When the bickering reaches a breaking point, the duo will leave peacefully, and you’ll win the boss fight. Take the Mooncloud Stone and the keys to the door to begin the final challenge of round one.

Cooking Minigame

Round one comes with a physical challenge in the form of a cooking minigame. You have to catch falling food and throw it at wandering customers, paying especially close attention to special customers that reward bonus points. Susie’s cooking burns, though, so flames will constantly run across the table. You can jump over the flames to avoid damage, but a tall stack of food will make your jump less responsive.

The key to this minigame is stacking up four or five ingredients and then shooting them down to the customers below. It’s a good idea to wait for special customers to appear before unloading a tall stack, since they’ll raise your rating significantly more than normal customers. You can see your rating in real time on the screen behind you. It slowly depletes if you don’t serve any customers, so make sure you don’t waste too much time stacking ingredients.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Lancer Pot

Overall, you should be fine for round one as long as you did okay in the exploration segment. The physical challenge doesn’t affect your overall ranking for the round that much unless you really mess things up. If you get an S-rank for round one, you’ll be rewarded with a Pink Ribbon that increases your TP gains from narrowly dodged attacks.

The Green Room

You’re free to explore the green room in between rounds. There are a few vending machines where you can buy items, but the main attractions are the changing rooms in the back. They’re locked by rank, so you can only enter certain doors if you performed well enough during round one.

In the main changing rooms, you’ll find doors for C-A ranks. The C-rank room has a water cooler miniboss inside. The B-rank room has a gacha machine where you can fuel your gambling addiction with the points you earned from the previous round. The A-rank room has a secret Susiezilla minigame where you have to protect Tenna from haters. These are all optional, but they’re good fun. The B-rank gacha machine in particular has some good loot, including aGlowshardas the ultimate prize.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Cactus Key

Glowshards increase in value with each chapter, so gambling at the gacha machine can be a good investment.

You can go talk to Tenna at any time to continue with the game show, but if you got an S-rank on the first round, you should really visit the S-rank changing room. There, you canaccess a secret minigame and acquire the Ice Key, the first item required to triggerDeltaruneChapter 3’s secret boss fight.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Fountain Key

Round Two

The second round of Tenna’s TV Time game show is anotherZeldaminigame, and this time it’s all about taking pictures. The camera given to you can be used to snap photos that lock things in place or defeat enemies. Pictures also get you some bonus points, so take as many as you can.

The enemies that you’re able to encounter during round two are Pippins, which can be defeated with S-Actions and R-Actions to fill the mercy meter. Susie can cheat, which can make the Pippins tired so Ralsei can spare them with the Pacify spell. You can also ACT with Kris to bet, which will turn one of the Pippins' attacks green and cause it to grant mercy progress when touched.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Elnina Lanino

Just like the first round, there are four photos to take in total, but you only need three of them to move on. There are some Pippins near the starting area that give these clues about the photos you need to take.

Photo #1

The first photo is located one screen to the left and down from the starting area. It’s a vertical passage with a river, and you can see Lanino on the other side. Take a picture of the cactus hiding among the trees on the right side of the screen to get the first grand photo.

Photo #2

The second photo involves some more Lancer shenanigans. A vendor is selling Lancer for 999 points, but you may snap a picture of him to hide two of the digits and bring the price down to an affordable 9 points instead. Buy Lancer and go back to the starting area. On the screen to the right of the starting area, Lancer will dig up the green geyser. That’s the second grand photo.

you may also walk through the path that Lancer burrowed through to earn some bonus points.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Walkthrough Cooking

Photo #3

The third grand photo is locked behind a bunch of bridge puzzles. Head southeast and you’ll find a large body of water and some bridge pieces. Susie will solve the first puzzle for you, but she’ll swap your in-game controllers around afterward and make you solve the rest.

After some more controller-swapping silliness, you’ll find a golden half flower. Take a picture of it to secure the third grand photo.

S Rank Door in Deltarune

When playing as Susie, pick up as many plants and pots as you can. They’re worth bonus points!

Photo #4

The fourth and final grand photo is located inside a cave. You’ll come across yet another bridge puzzle, this time leading to a staircase that goes underground. Once inside, Susie blows some stuff up and reveals a hidden room with

antlion enemies burrowing in the sand. Take a picture of the antlion with red fangs to secure the last grand photo.

There’s some moss on the wall for Susie to eat in this section of the map. Look for a cracked wall on the right side of the screen.

Boss Battle: Shuttah

Take all the photos back to the podiums at the starting area and you’ll unlock a raft that lets you sail across water. If you take the raft southwest, you’ll find a secret lawnmowing minigame that rewards bonus points. If you sail too far north, you’ll reach a restricted area that will become important later (but it’s not accessible right now).

Use the raft to reach the area where Elnina is waiting. After collecting her, you’ll encounter a boss named Shuttah. The camera is the key to defeating Shuttah. Use your TP to take photos with each character to fill the mercy meter. Harder photos cost more TP and deal more mercy damage, but you’ll have to be quick with the camera to catch them. It’s a relatively straightforward fight.

Raise Up Your Bat

TheZeldaminigame isn’t the end of round two. There’s a physical challenge waiting this time as well! Instead of serving food, Tenna wants the trio to rock out.

You’ll be playing a simple rhythm game for this challenge. Susie bangs on the drums a little too hard, but don’t worry, it won’t affect your score. If you perform well enough on the rhythm minigame and earn enough points during theZeldasection, you’ll walk away with an S-rank and a White Ribbon as an extra reward. Getting an S-rank also unlocks another secret minigame in the S-rank changing room that rewards theShelter Keyupon completion. You’ll need this if you want to face Chapter 3’s secret boss.

You can use the camera to farm points during round 2’sZeldaminigame. The enemies respawn endlessly, so you can keep snapping photos of them to scrounge up points little by little.

Tenna’s Technical Difficulties

Once you’re back in the green room after round two, go talk to Tenna on the screen left of the main stage to continue the story. Susie will run ahead, and you can choose to either see what Susie’s doing or just chill with Ralsei. Either option works. Tenna will make some shady excuses and leave, which is your cue to investigate the guarded door on the right side of the green room.

Press the guard’s buttons and he’ll let you inside. You’ll find a series of locked doors, so it’s time for a passcode puzzle! The screens in these dark hallways contain the codes for each door. They’re arranged out of order, though, so pay attention to the brick borders of each room to determine the correct order of digits. The first code is 213, and the second code is 1225.

Tenna freaks out once he sees that you’ve been snooping around, and this leads to an extended segment where the party is trapped inside gachapon balls and forced to play a flaming round of the game show. Nothing you do in this section matters, so don’t worry about getting any quizzes wrong. The group eventually breaks free from Tenna’s grasp so you may continue the story.

TV World

Save your game before venturing forth, there’s a long road ahead. As soon as you make your way to the next screen, you’ll be introduced to yet another minigame. This western shootout minigame requires you to shoot enemies as they appear. Try to get a feel for it, you’ll need to do this again later.

As you progress through the TV World, you’ll encounter the same enemies that you’ve seen during the game show. The method of defeating them remains the same, even though the show isn’t on the air. Shoot the guy’s hat off, take photos for Shuttah, and so on. The TV World mazes have chests tucked away off the beaten path, but they only have healing items like TV Dinners inside. You can safely skip them if you don’t need supplies.

There are more quizzes that you’ll be trapped in as you make your way through the TV maze, but these only have two answer choices and aren’t too hard. Some of them aren’t even questions! Instead, they’ll test your reflexes with prompts like “what letter does this word end with?” Here’s a table you can reference for the actual questions, though.

What’s the reward for C-Rank?

Who runs the green room concessions?

Kris’s last name!?

What was your rank on board 1!?

Choose whatever you scored (hopefully an S).

Chapter 3’s hidden eggcan also be found in the TV World if you’re hunting for collectibles.

If you proceed northeast, you’ll eventually stumble across Lancer’s room. Take the controllers to assume control of the Lancers on screen. Use them to dig up the X spots for some bonus points! That’s all there is to this room, though. If you head southwest from Lancer, you’ll find a video game puzzle. Use Lancer to strike all the X’s and turn them into rocks. This will spawn a box that you can push onto one of the switches. Then, swap to Ralsei and use his transformation ability to push the second switch and unlock the path to a chest with a Revive Mint.

Continue east and you’ll spot Tenna yelling at the crew. Along that path is the Susiezilla minigame set. Destroy all the houses for some bonus points!

The next few sections are all about the Stealth Zone. Hug the wall and avoid the lights to progress. You’ll hit another cowboy minigame, so take the opportunity to practice. After that, you’ll enter a room with a bunch of shadow workers stressing over some papers. Use the available controller to activate the lawnmower on screen, shredding all the paper and recruiting every single Darkner in the row. Before continuing along the next Stealth Zone, head left to find a bridge puzzle that rewards 300 points.

Up next, Tenna continues his breakdown. Walk past the Darkners Live stage and continue through the TV maze. The quizzes get really unfair here, so stay on your toes. At the south end of the maze with the next set of quizzes, one of the TV screens has a unique green smile. Activate it to enter the Bonus Zone. There aren’t actually that many bonus points in this room, but the Tenna gag you get for finding the Bonus Zone is more than worth it.

One final Stealth Zone lies ahead, and Darkners from Tenna’s crew will join you as you sneakily slide along the wall. There’s no battle here, it’s just a funny bit. There is a battle in the next room, though, so save your game before walking too far into the bar.

Boss Battle: Rouxls Kaard

He may claim he’s only here for the snacks, but Rouxls Kaard and his new weather-based polycule won’t let you through without a fight. The fight begins with Rouxls Kaard and his lackeys changing your ability bar so you may only ACT. Play along until Lancer shows up.

Once Lancer enters the fray, a Lancer icon will flash across each character’s ability bar. Select the Lancer icon to lure the enemies to your side. Take your time, it’s easy to miss. Once Rouxls Kaard’s goons are out of the picture, Elnina and Lanino join the battle.

The weather couple has the same moveset as before, but your ability bar will be expanded into a 5x5 grid with Lancer icons and Rouxls icons descending down the columns like a slot machine. Again, select the Lancer icons and avoid the Rouxls icons. Eventually, they’ll give up and the battle will end.

On the next screen, Tenna continues to have a meltdown. Keep moving and you’ll find yourself in a foggy version of the green room. This is where you’re able to get theShadow Mantle, the final item needed to unlock the secret boss ofDeltaruneChapter 3.

Boss Battle: Ant Tenna

Once you’ve made the necessary preparations in the green room, continue east past the locked parental code doors to confront Tenna. The trio doesn’t want to play anymore, and Tenna doesn’t take the news too well.

Tenna says you need 1000 points to complete his final challenge, and he’s surprisingly honest about this. Shout “I love TV” and play minigames to rack up points. This is really a test of endurance more than anything. Use the healing items you collected during the chapter, and remember to guard to fill the TP gauge so you can ACT and play more minigames.

Tenna’s attacks are fairly straightforward. His basic attack sends a sea of stars horizontally across the screen. His next trick splits the combat field in half, which makes it harder to dodge the vertical lightning bolts that follow because of the warped perspective. Tenna can also send stars that shoot out projectiles from their tips when the drums play a rimshot, so watch out for those.

Tenna’s main gimmick is making you replay the minigames from TV Time over and over again. If you’ve playedWarioWare, you’ll be prepared for this moment. Keep playing along with Tenna and healing your team when their HP gets low.

Once you reach 1000 points, Tenna unleashes his final onslaught. It’s back-to-back-to-back minigames at a breakneck pace, so you need to lock in. In between minigames, Tenna will menacingly approach the party on stage. Shoot him and destroy the incoming projectiles to win the battle.

Boss Battle: Roaring Knight

Tenna isn’t the last foe you’ll face duringDeltaruneChapter 3. The Roaring Knight shows up at the last second and attacks the party, but it’s basically impossible to win this fight. He’ll one-shot you unless you have the Shadow Mantle mentioned earlier.

With the Shadow Mantle, the battle against the Roaring Knight becomes much more manageable. It’s still one of the hardest bosses in all ofDeltaruneandUndertale, though, so expect to reload your last save pretty often. This guide details the best strategies for beating the Roaring Knightboss if you went through the trouble of collecting all of Chapter 3’s secret items. Otherwise, that’s a wrap onDeltaruneChapter 3!
