It’s official, Springtrap, the villainous animatronic from theFive Nights at Freddy’s franchise, has made its debut in the asymmetrical horrorDead by Daylight, where players can now control “The Yellow Rabbit” as a playable killer.Dead by Daylightfirst hit the gaming scene back in 2016, boasting thrilling multiplayer action in one-versus-four matches, where someone takes on the role of an iconic killer from the growing horror genre to hunt the remaining survivors.

Developer Behaviour Interactiveannounced thatDead by Daylightwas collaborating with theFive Nights at Freddy’sseries back in May, alongside news of another union with CD Projekt’sThe Witchergame series. Scott Cawthon’sFive Nights at Freddy’s began as a simple survival horror game, where players had to last the night working as a security guard in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant dotted with killer animatronics, and the concept has now encompassed a slew of video game sequels, novels, and movie adaptations.
