Because of her unique power to outrun even vehicles, she was eventually nicknamed 100 km/hr Granny. Her reign of terror and intimidation lasted for quite some time. She had no qualms in using dirty tricks and mind games to terrorize her victims. When she crossed paths with Okarun and Momo, Turbo Granny was just as ruthless and tried to intimidate the duo.

However,the eccentric duo outsmarted the yokaiand managed to put an end to her reign of terror. Turbo Granny was eventually forced to make a pact to help them find Okarun’s family jewels in return for her powers. Once Turbo Granny was defeated,Seiko Ayase informed Momo and Kenthat she was not as evil as she portrayed herself to be.
It was a well-known fact that the yokai used to comfort the spirits of young girls who had died under tragic circumstances. Sometime in the past, she learned aboutthe Earthbound Spirit Crabin Shono City, a spirit tied to a tunnel that was formed by the combined spirits of the girls who had been murdered there. Turbo Granny not only visited the place but also decided to fuse with the spirit to comfort it. Her kindness made a deep impression on the Earthbound Spirit Crab and she became extremely protective of her.
However,Turbo Granny’s kindness should not distract onefrom the fact that she is incredibly powerful. She can not only run at 100 km/hr but also has the power to dematerialize and possess a person. Furthermore, she can also curse her victims and teleport from one place to another using phone lines. These abilities make her one of the most feared yokai in the series. But another powerful spirit is all set to make his debut in season 2 and he might just be as powerful as Turbo Granny.

An Abused Boy Who Turned Into a Ruthless Yokai
When a mysterious spirit at his house haunted Jiji for a long time and eventually hurt his parents, he was forced to seek help. Although he contacted five popular spirit mediums who tried to exorcise the ghost, nothing appeared to work. Things took a dark turn as three of them ended up taking their own lives under suspicious circumstances. As the spirit mediums gave up, they informed Jiji that the only person who could help him was Seiko Ayase.
AlthoughJiji didn’t know at the time, his house was actually haunted by the Evil Eye, a dangerous yokai that hated humanity with passion. A long time ago, the spirit was just an ordinary boy who wanted to play with others. But he had the misfortune of being trapped in a room from which he could only see other kids of his age play in the distance. His dream of playing was never fulfilled and he died a tragic death.
Despite being subjected to abuse, he still had some compassion for humanity even after becoming a spirit. Once a new family moved to the same house where he died, he befriended the family’s young child. After a long time, he finally felt truly happy. But when his abusers took his only friend away from him, he no longer felt any compassion for humans. He grew a deep-rooted hatred for humanity and wished to inflict the same pain that he had been forced to tolerate. This spirit went on to become the sinister and merciless monster known as the Evil Eye.
As fans probably have guessed, Evil Eye is incredibly strong. Apart from having brute physical strength, he can also move extremely fast. His blinding speedallows him to keep up with Okarun, who has Turbo Granny’s powers. In fact, in some actions, Evil Eye can be four times as fast as Okarun.
Evil Eye also relies heavily on grudgesfor offensive and defensive purposes. He has the ability to shape grudges to create weapons or even protective domes to keep himself safe. Turbo Granny may have a slight advantage over Evil Eye because of experience and other factors, but the latter is no pushover. As he makes his debut in Dandadan’s season 2, fans will finally get to learn his entire backstory and see his frightening powers in action.
