The Bomber was part of the 23 cards thatClash Royalestarted out with, and even to this day, it’s considered an annoying card for most players to deal with. Even when there were no evolutions for this card, the card had a respectable use rate in the meta. But once it got the evolution, things went up to a whole other level.
While Evo Bomber can certainly cause a lot of grief, there are a lot of counters for the cards to offset it. But if you’re good with the card, there are also plenty of ways to play around them. In this guide, we’ll show you some of the best decks for the Evo Bomber and also drop some helpful tips for countering it inClash Royale.
Clash Royale Evo Bomber Overview
The Bomber is one of the most cost-effective anti-swarm troops inClash Royale. At just 2 Elixir, he offers a ton of value by clearing out ground-based swarm units like Skeleton Army, Goblin Gang, and even Barbarians with ease. Despite his low HP, the Bomber can be deceptively annoying to eliminate, especially when placed behind atank like Mega Knightor Giant.
His splash damage allows him to sit back and clear the path while your big unit walks straight into the tower. He doesn’t hit air targets, though, so you’ll need to pair him with some kind of anti-air support.
Once you’ve unlocked his Evolution form, he becomes a whole different threat. The Evo Bomber throws a bomb that bounces twice behind the target. Much like the Magic Archer, you’re able to use the Evo Bomber to line up shots on the enemy tower without even crossing the bridge. With proper timing, Evo Bomber can shut down an entire lane by himself.
The card has two evolution cycles, which means every third Bomber you place will be an Evo Bomber.
He fits well into decks that use control strategies or want to play behindheavy tanks like the Golem. When paired with knockback or stun-based cards like The Log or Electro Spirit, you can get insane value. And because of how cheap he is, you can cycle him quickly, letting you always have the Evo Bomber ready for defense.
How to Counter Evo Bomber in Clash Royale
Despite its insane damage potential, the Bomber is actually pretty easy to counter inClash Royale. The best counter against it is the Arrows spell, which can take it off the field for just one extra elixir while dealing with tower damage. However, The Log or Snowball will leave the card at 1 HP, which can make it tricky to defend against.
If you don’t have Arrows, the second-best option is to use an air card. Since the Evo Bomber is usually accompanied by a tank in front, you’ll have to be precise with the placement of your card to take it out. Minions and Bats are both great at taking out the card and catching up to the tank to deal damage.
The third option is to put a mini-tank/anti-tank troop right on top of the Bomber. TheMini Pekka is a great choicesince it can one-shot the card and take down the tank before it reaches your tower. Valkyrie or Knight are also great job options. Letting an Evo Bomber connect is rarely a good idea, so always keep a light spell or an air troop in cycle to deal with him efficiently.
When using ground cards to deal with the Evo Bomber, place it on the side to avoid taking splash damage on your towers.
Best Evo Bomber Decks in Clash Royale
Here are some of the best Evo Bomber Decks you’ll want to try out inClash Royale:

Lightning

When it comes toBeatdown decks inClash Royale, the Giant is still pretty popular. This Giant deck is a classic in the game, featuring both the Prince and the Dark Prince as the primary support unit. Lightning makes short work of defensive buildings, allowing your Giant to break through.
The Evo Bomber acts primarily as a defensive unit in this deck, along with the Mega Minion. However, if you manage to build up an elixir lead, you’re able to easily start a solid counter push with a Giant in front of the Evo Bomber to overwhelm your opponent.
Pekka

Evo Bomber doesn’t usually go well withPekka Bridge Spam decks. However, with this variation, it’s pretty easy to break through your opponent’s defense and overwhelm them. You’ve got your typical bridge spam units like Bandit, Royal Ghost, and Battle Ram to keep the opponent busy.
Keep your Pekka and Bomber for defense in the single elixir stage. As you hit double elixir, you may start playing more aggressively, applying dual lane pressure with your cards while the Evo Bomber acts as backline support.
Electro Giant
Electro Giant deckswork extremely well with the Evo Bomber. Since both of these troops deal massive splash damage, they directly counter decks that rely heavily on swarm units. With the Golden Knight as your champion, you’ll also activate the three-card cycle to get to your evolution cards quickly.
The tornado acts as a trump card, allowing you to line up bomber shots on the enemy tower if they are not careful. For defense, Mother Witch, Evo Cannon, Phoenix, and Barbarian Barrel can pretty much take care of anything and help set up a counter push.
Both Royal Chef and Princess Tower are solid Tower Troops with this deck.
The Evo Bomber is one ofthe strongest evolution cardsinClash Royaleright now because of how much damage it does for its elixir cost. But you need to be smart with how you use it. It’s still an extremely squishy unit, and you’ll have to protect it to get good value.
