This list contains spoilers up until the end of the manga!

Summary

All For One is already pretty terrifying from first glance, but what makes this villainous mastermind especially chilling is how willing he is to eliminate anyone who dares stand in his way. Since his Quirk, All For One, allows the user to steal and stockpile an arsenal of Quirks, it means the villain of the same name has grown to become absurdly powerful over the course of theMy Hero Academiaseries, even managing to push the legendary All Might to his limit.

After All For One is done extracting a person’s power from them, he will usually take them out for good, ensuring they don’t get any funny ideas about coming back to him for revenge. As a result, there have been numerous characters inMy Hero Academiawho met their untimely fate at the hands of this madman, including these unfortunate victims listed below. Before jumping in, this list will contain spoilers up until the end of the manga.

7Stain

Ironically, The ‘Hero Killer’ Is Taken Down While Supporting The Best Hero In Japan

Though Stain is absent for a good portion of the story after he’s intercepted, he makes a grand return in the final war, where he gives a rousing pep talk to a depressed All Might. Despite being dubbed the’Hero Killer', Stain still has a lot of admiration for All Might, whom he views as someone worthy of being called a hero, so much so that he even tries to protect him from an oncoming attack from All For One.

Despite his impressive fighting skills, Stain turns out to be no match for All For One, who steals his Bloodcurdle Quirk before punching him to his death. Stain has left quite the legacy behind, but it’s unfortunate he couldn’t have stuck around in the story for just a little longer.

6Gigantomachia

All For One Decides To Put Down His Loyal Mutant Lapdog

Gigantomachia, the giant, vicious brute who can only be controlled by the voice of All For One, turns out to be a huge problem for the heroes to deal with. Since nobody is physically strong enough to take Gigantomachia down in close combat, the heroes turn to Shinso, who uses hisBrainwash Quirkto control Gigantomachia by imitating his master’s voice.

Though Gigantomachia does buy some precious time for the heroes to plan their next attack, it’s not long before he’s cut in half by an overwhelming surge of power, courtesy of All For One. Gigantomachia never stood a chance against a younger version of All For One, but he still played a big part in the war by keeping his master distracted for as long as he could.

5Nana Shimura

All Might’s Mentor Failed To Take Down Society’s Biggest Villain

Because Nana is long gone by the time the main story kicks off, a lot of her past life as an inheritor of One For All is shown through flashbacks, and through small details provided by other characters. What is made clear, though, is that Nana was extremely powerful back in her day, and though her line of work did end up disrupting her family life, she was still committed to saving those in danger with her newfound One For All Quirk ability.

Just like with the previous uses, though, Nana failed to take down All For One, who killed her in an off-screen sequence. As one ofthe Vestiges, Nana returns in the main story as one of One For All’s entities, who does all she can to help guide Midoriya to victory in his mission to defeat Shigaraki and All For One.

4The Vestiges

One For All’s Previous Users Became Big Thorns In The Side Of All For One

Anyone who is lucky, or in this scenario, unlucky enough to be handed down One For All, will immediately become the biggest target of All For One. The two Quirks have been polar opposites to one another for decades, and though almost every previous user before Midoriya tries to take One For All down in battle, all of them are inevitably killed and forced to pass the baton to the next successor.

All For One would take great glee in killing his arch enemies in the most gruesome ways possible, such as when he decided to impale Lee through the chest with a giant spike as a way to humiliate him. Despite having the bravery to stand up to All For One in his prime, the Vestiges simply couldn’t get the job done.

3Star And Stripe

All For One Played A Big Part In Ending The Reign Of America’s Top Hero

Admittedly, the one who appears in the flesh to take on Star and Stripe is Shigaraki, though as he himself comments at the beginning of the fight, he is now being influenced by All For One, who has merged with him after Garaki’s experiments. Throughout thisepic duel, Star and Stripe uses her New Order Quirk to dish out damage in all kinds of unique ways, such as throwing out laser beams and removing entire pockets of air.

In the end, though, she would end up getting a bit too close for comfort, resulting in her being sapped from existence by the Decay Quirk. All For One made it clear in one of his villain meetings that Star and Stripe was a main target for the villains to deal with, and by gearing Shigaraki up with Quirks and assuming partial control of his body and mind, he was able to take America’s top hero out of the final war before it even started.

2The Shigaraki Family

It Was All For One Who Secretly Gave Shigaraki The Quirk That Killed His Family

Shigaraki’s tragic backstory isn’t revealed until roughly the halfway point of the story in theMy Villain Academia arc. It turns out that Shigaraki wasn’t always as evil and twisted as he appears in the main story. In fact, as a boy, he always dreamed of becoming a hero, though this was something his abusive father seemed less than inclined to support.

While Shigaraki would accidentally end up killing his entire family with the Decay Quirk, this wasn’t an ability he inherited at birth. In actuality, All For One gave him Decay without him knowing a few hours before the horrific event took place. Therefore, it was All For One who turned the young boy into a ticking time bomb, intending for him to kill his loved ones in order to produce the hatred needed to eventually become his protégé.

1Yoichi Shigaraki

In His Quest For Power, All For One Decided To Kill His Own Brother

Yoichi, the younger brother of All For One, didn’t exactly get along all too well with his older sibling. After realizing the true potential of his Quirk, All For One would quickly become an underground warlord whoruled Japan from the shadows. This was directly opposed to his brother, Yoichi, who can be seen numerous times questioning his brother’s motives and wishing he would use his Quirk for the sake of good rather than evil.

After All For One manages to corner Yoichi and his measly resistance force, he brutally kills the entire group. Though Yoichi would find comfort in speaking to Midoriya and the other vestiges, growing up with such a maniacal brother couldn’t have been easy for him.

My Hero Academia

Cast

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the “One-For-All” quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
