Like most games in the soulslike genre,Lies of Pfeatures an intricate equipment system that can be overwhelming for new players. This is something that carries over into theOvertureDLCas well. Along with the complex leveling system and weapon stats, there is a personal inventory system that doesn’t exactly scream user-friendly. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the game’sExtra Bagsystem. While it’s great that P has access to extra inventory, accessing that inventory can be a bit confusing. In this guide, we’ll show youhow to access the Extra Bag inventory inLies of Pand theOvertureDLC.
How to Use the Extra Bag in Lies of P
When you open the menu inLies of P,you will find three main inventory sections that can be edited. The first two inventories represent P’s belt, which has an Upper and Lower section. Beneath the belt inventory, you’ll see theExtra Bagsection.
The Extra Bag is made up of four inventory slots, which can only containUsable ItemsandGestures. When you examine the Extra Bag slots, it can be a bit tricky to discover how you are actually supposed to use them in-game. While there technically is an entry in the Guide section, this is not easy to find, and nothing points you to it.
To use the Extra Bag inventory slots while exploring the world, you’ll need to hold down the A (Xbox) or X (PS) buttons, depending on the console. While holding down the A/X button, you’ll see the inventory section in the bottom left corner of the HUD switch to the Extra Bag inventory. Each slot is assigned to one of the four D-Pad buttons. Hold down A/X, then press the D-Pad button that corresponds to the desired item.
Because the Extra Bag relies on the D-Pad, you cannot expand the number of accessible slots like you can with the belt.
How to Change Extra Bag Items in Lies of P
To change which items you can access in the Extra Bag, you’ll need to enter the main menu. Highlight the slot you want to change, then press the A/X button. This will take you to the Extra Bag menu, which features only Usable Items and Gestures. The Extra Bag is a great spot to put special items that you don’t need to access constantly. Items like the Cube or Monad’s Lamp are good choices, as are any gestures you like to use.
