As Season 3 ofWarzonesaw the triumphant return of Verdansk, fans are eager to see how Raven Software plans to outdo itself for Season 4. Unfortunately, fans have already been left disappointed as the official patch notes for the new season revealed that Raven Software will beremoving Battle Royale Solos fromCall of Duty: Warzone. According to the developer, the mode will be replaced with Battle Royale Casual Solos, which features a mix of both real life players and bots. As expected, players were outraged by the decision, but the studio believes it is for good reason as it is part of ongoing efforts to keep playlist options focused and manageable.

Warzone Players Will Now Enter the Gulag With One Armor Plate

It doesn’t seem to be all bad changes forCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 4though, as the studio has also revealed that players will now enter the Gulag with a single Armor Plate equipped. Previously, players went into the Gulag with no armor, but Raven says this was resulting in certain weapons killing faster than intended - even faster than inBlack Ops 6Multiplayer. The studio says this was due to the shooter’s higher damage-per-shot values. So, allowing players to start the Gulag with a single Armor Plate should reduce the extreme time-to-kill cases “without overcorrecting.” The change will be implemented when Season 4 goes live later today, May 29.

Fans appear to have reacted positively to the change, withone Twitter usersaying it is “probably the only W in the update.” However, not all of Season 4’s newest additions and features seem to have gone over well with fans. The latest season is set to introduce a newDoor Barricade field upgrade toWarzone, which has led to concern among players as some believe it will encourage campers. But not everybody is convinced that it’s going to be an issue, as others think it will likely be easily destroyable with just a few bullets or a piece of lethal equipment. While the field upgrade will only be available in the new Clash limited-time mode at launch, Raven intends to add it to other game modes later in the season.

WarzoneandBlack Ops 6players can also look forward to the return of two iconic weapons with Season 4: the LC10 Submachine Gun and the FFAR 1 Assault Rifle. Both weapons will be available inCall of Duty’s Season 4 Battle Passon page three and six, respectively. The LC10 is a fully automatic submachine gun that boasts excellent accuracy and range, while the FFAR 1 comes with a very high rate of fire and excellent close-quarter combat power. Both weapons can be unlocked for free and will be usable in bothBlack Ops 6Multiplayer, Zombies, andWarzone.
