Just one day before the new season began, developer Raven Software announced that it wouldremove Battle Royale Solos fromCall of Duty: Warzone. The decision outraged much of the community, as the studio said it would be replacing the mode with Battle Royale Casual Solos, which features a mix of real-life players and bots. Call of Duty Releases Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Update
Season 4 ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6andWarzoneis officially live across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. For die-hardWarzoneplayers, the newest season continues to give Verdansk a new lease of life with an enormous new POI known as The Overlook. This gigantic new skyscraper can be found in the heart of Downtown and is twice the height of any previous building within the Verdansk conurbation. While the ground level surrounding The Overlook features numerous security checkpoints and construction sites, players looking to get a height advantage will need to be on the lookout for the new operational cranes that will allow enemies to flank to the very top of the skyscraper.
For those who are more fond of the fast-paced antics ofCall of Duty’s Multiplayer, there are threenew maps available inBlack Ops 6, with more on the way in Season 4 Reloaded. The first, known as Shutdown, is a brand-new 6v6, small-sized map set in a hydroelectric plant built on the rugged volcanic terrain of Iceland. Then there’s Fugitive, a medium-sized, 6v6 map that will see players battle it out at a secret CIA black site in a remote part of Iceland. And, last but not least, is Blitz. This 6v6/2v2, small-sized map is set on a cliffside highway with overturned vehicles and nowhere to hide.
Alongside all of the new content in both titles, the update also makes plenty of important gameplay changes and adjustments. As detailed in the official patch notes for Season 4, the massive content update has made animportant change toWarzone’s Gulag. Following the launch of Season 4 today, players will now enter the Gulag with a single Armor Plate pre-equipped. Previously, players would battle it out with nothing but their standard health, but Raven Software says this was resulting in certain weapons killing faster than intended. The new change should hopefully make for more competitive 1v1 battles to determine who redeploys to theWarzone.
