Boruto: Two Blue Vortexnever fails to come up with a compelling villain strong enough to push the characters into a corner. With the rise ofJura and the humanoid God Treesin recent chapters, Boruto seems hopeless, as he struggles to find a way to outmaneuver the enemy at his current level. That’s why it’s only natural to think of another character like Kawaki, who might hold the potential to defeat a powerful villain like Jura.
Jura continues his reign of terror in theBoruto: Two Blue Vortexmanga following the release of chapter 22. The entire chapter was dedicated to showcasing Jura’s immense strength, having been able to stand his ground against Boruto. The fight has only just begun, but Jura clearly has the upper hand, making fans worry about Boruto and the state of the world.
Why Kawaki Might Defeat Jura
If Not Boruto, It’s Kawaki
WhileBoruto is fighting Jurawith everything he’s got somewhere in the Land of the Wind, Kawaki has yet to jump into action. It’s unknown whether he knows about the conflict that’s unfolding between Boruto and the Human God Trees at the moment, as he remains seated in Konoha, dealing with Amado. Despite this, many are speculating he will proceed to the battlefield as soon as he receives intel, likely from Eida, Shikamaru, or even Kashin Koji.
“I don’t care that you’ve been tinkering with my body like it’s a toy. However, that ends now. I’ll decide things from here on."—Kawaki
After all,Kawaki remains central to the plotof theBorutomanga, so fans need to see him join the fight against Jura sooner or later. Once he hears about Boruto’s whereabouts, there’s a strong chance he will head straight to the Land of the Wind either to support his brother or fight against him. With Kawaki’s track record, it’s possible to hit two birds with one stone, despite his temporary truce with Boruto.
Amado May Remove Kawaki’s Limiters
Kawaki May Receive More Power-Ups
Before Boruto and Jura’s fight began,Two Blue Vortexshowed Kawaki forcing Amado to remove his limiters. He has the same problem as Code once had, asAmado also implanted limitersinside his body as a form of insurance. This explains why Kawaki’s power seems to be lagging behind Boruto’s despite the time skip. With the limiters on, it’s obvious that Kawaki is weaker than Boruto, no matter how hard he tries to train and improve himself.
Upon hearing Amado’s secret fromBorutohimself, Kawaki storms into the research lab and confronts the manipulative scientist. Amado tries to explain, justifying his actions with hisdesire to resurrect Akebi, but Kawaki rejects his ideas and proposes something different. He’s willing to do whatever Amado asks in exchange for using every possible method to make him stronger beyond his limits.
“Choose your answer carefully if you want to keep living."—Kawaki to Amado
While it’s still unconfirmed whether Amado agrees to Kawaki’s plans, there’s a greater chance he will not say no to him. If so, Kawaki may grow stronger than before, as his limiters would be removed. This could also mean he may receivepower-ups, possibly a new shinjutsuif he’s lucky enough to manifest another one. Knowing Amado, he may still have two or more tricks up his sleeve to strengthen Kawaki enough to overpower Jura.
Kawaki May Finish What Boruto Started
Jura’s Defeat May Be the Outcome of His Truce with Boruto
As part of the temporary truce between Kawaki and Boruto, both agreed to set aside their personal problems with each other to deal with Jura and the Human God Trees. If they stay true to this ceasefire, there’s a strong chance they will work together to end thethreat of the Shinju Clonesonce and for all. Fans may see them fighting side by side like they used to in the past.
“I can’t take him down by myself. I need your help."—Boruto to Kawaki
As long as the fight between Boruto and Jura drags on, there’s always the possibility that Kawaki may arrive and join the clash. This means there’s also a good chance Kawaki could be the one to deliver the final blow out of grim necessity to Jura once Boruto’s weakened. Knowing Kawaki, he’ll always be prepared to do whatever it takes to defeat the enemy, regardless of whether it’s wrong or right.
For now,Borutofans will have to stay put and wait for future chapter releases ofTwo Blue Vortexto find out whether it’s Kawaki or Boruto who ultimately saves the day. Regardless ofwho ends up defeating Jura, fans will surely be thrilled to see how another powerful villain falls from grace.
