The Boruto series has been very unfair to the old-generation characters, such asNaruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Right from the get-go, it was clear that they weren’t the focus of the story, and while that is fine, the way the story treated them and neglected some of their powers perplexed the fans.

For Sasuke Uchiha, fans were shocked to see that he wasn’t even given a single proper fight of his own, and more than that, simply nerfed without even receiving a big moment. Naruto had his fights against the likes of Delta, while he also awakened Baryon Mode before Kurama was stripped from him. Sasuke, on the other hand, was completely disregarded in the series and had his Rinnegan taken without even receiving a minute of time first.
That certainly isn’t all.Sasuke Uchiha was also nerfed in other ways in the Boruto series. For instance, Sasuke was never shown using his Rinnegan powers, which are incredibly overpowered, beyond just Amenotejikara or opening portals. All the other Six Paths Powers, which are what truly make him invincible, were forgotten. So, all things considered, it isn’t much of a shock to see Sasuke being surpassed in Boruto, as the author has not treated him with respect at all.

Boruto Has Learned Many Powerful Abilities
Boruto Uzumaki has surpassed the nerfed version of Sasuke for sure. While Sasuke, at his peak, is still stronger than Boruto, the Sasuke fans saw after the battle against Isshiki is definitely weaker than Boruto Uzumaki. This shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, considering the fact that Borutowas trained by Sasuke himself, and on top of that, had Kashin Koji help him figure out all the incredible techniques that he used in various timelines. Boruto is strong enough to keep up with the likes of Jura right now, which definitely means that he’s stronger than the current Sasuke.

Will Sasuke Return Stronger?
For now,it is unclear whether Sasuke will gain new powers, but it can’t be denied that there are ways for him to grow much stronger still. Sasuke could return inBoruto: Two Blue Vortexvery soon, after the defeat of Hidari, and when that happens, he will truly ascend to the next level, provided the author actually puts some effort into the character.
