Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest has replaced E3 in the gaming calendar, and did it in spectacular fashion. Gamers around the world tune into the showcase each year to watch as the next year or so of gaming is mapped out. This year was no different.
From big reveal trailers from established franchises, togame announcements from exciting indie devs, to release dates for some of the most anticipated upcoming games, 2025’s Summer Game Fest had it all. With a 2-hour showcase, Keighley and his team revealed many new things to fans. Here are some of the biggest reveals that have gamers excited.
The Beastis the third entry in Techland’s belovedDying Lightfranchise. This new game was announced at Gamescom 2024’s Opening Night Live and sees the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the firstDying Lightand its DLC.
The Beastwill be taking the franchise back to a more linear storytelling style, following the branching narrative of the second game, and putting greater emphasis on the survival horror elements of the series. Driving also seems to be returning, as seen in the trailer.Dying Light: The Beastis set to release onAugust 22, 2025.
Ryu Ga Gotoku revealed their new game as Project Century with a flashy trailer at the 2024 Game Awards. They have finally given fans a little bit more to chew on with this new trailer, while also raising even more questions.
Now officially titledStranger Than Heaven, this game seems to be set in both 1915, as seen in the Game Awards trailer, and 1943, as seen in the new trailer. The combat looks like a slower, more brutal take on theLike A Dragongames' combat. There seems to be some emphasis on investigation mechanics.Little else is known about this game, but fans of RGG studios will be waiting for more information with bated breath.
This new extraction shooter has taken the world by storm since its beta test went public between April 30 and May 4. In a market saturated by live-service extraction shooters,Arc Raidershas managed to stand out and resonate with fans thanks to its high level of polish and detail, and extremely fun and intense PvPvE gameplay.
Embark revealed a new cinematic trailer for the game at Summer Game Fest 2025, along with anOctober 30, 2025, release date. Players won’t be waiting much longer to jump back intoArc Raiders.
TheGame of Thronesfranchise has had a spotty history with video game adaptations. The Telltale game had its charm, but the recentKingsroadgot a mixed to negative reception. In light of that, a newGame of ThronesRTS is an announcement for fans to be cautiously optimistic about.
War for Westerosis being developed by PlaySide, who have a good track record with real-time strategy games. An RTS set in theGame of Thronesworld certainly has a lot of potential, asgood fantasy RTS gamesare still relatively rare, so this is one to keep an eye on.
Lies of Pis one of the most incredible and beloved soulslikes in the genre. The trailer for the DLC,Overture, was released in February 2025, but no clear release date was given beyond a vague summer 2025 window. Imagine fans' surprise and delight then, when the game got a new trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025, alongside the surprise release.
The DLC is a prequel which details the fall of Krat and how it transformed from a beautifully vibrant city into the nightmarish place occupied by insane puppets as seen in the base game.
10Reveal Trailer – Wu-Tang: Rise Of The Deceiver
Music & Action
This new game comes from new developer Brass Lion Entertainment and features re-imagined versions of classic Wu-Tang Clan tracks.Rise of the Deceivermixes afro-surrealism with an anime artstyle to create something visually unique and stylish. The game is described as a co-op action RPG, and while the trailer didn’t reveal much more, this is a title that fans of great music and fun action games should put on their radar.
9Reveal Trailer – Towa And The Guardians Of The Sacred Tree
A Gorgeous Roguelike
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Treeis an action roguelike based on East Asian mysticism. The game features a gorgeous artstyle, and is being published by Bandai Namco. The trailer showed a lot of gameplay and a little bit of the story, both of which looked great.
Another game based on Asian mythology is a welcome addition, especially one that looks this good. Players won’t have to wait long to play it either, asTowa and the Guardians of the Sacred Treeis set for release onSeptember 19, 2025.

The Newest In Dinosaur Park Management
TheJurassic World Evolutionseries has carved out a niche for itself with itsbrilliant park management and simulation gameplay. It taps into fans' desire to build their own Jurassic Parks and Worlds. The third entry in the series seeks to continue the legacy with expanded gameplay. The trailer showed more intricate control over the dinosaurs, the infrastructure, and even the terrain. Fans are no doubt waiting for the game to release onOctober 21, 2025.
7Reveal Trailer – Code Vein 2
A Darker, Improved Sequel
Code Veinwasa good soulslike from Bandai Namco. While it wasn’t the most popular game,Code Veinhad great art design, good combat, and a dark story. The sequel looks to improve upon all these aspects.
The trailer hints towards an even darker story and aesthetic for the sequel while keeping the same unique art design. The little gameplay included in the trailer looks fun and hefty. The trailer also includes time travel, which is an interesting wrinkle for the series.

Puzzles and Adventures In A LEGO World
Voyagersis an adorable-looking co-op adventure from the developers behind the brilliantLEGO Builder’s Journey.Voyagerslooks just as cute as Light Brick’s previous game, with even more potential forinnovative physics-based co-op puzzlingand adventuring fun. The game also takes a page out of Hazelight Studios' playbook by introducing a friend’s pass, which is a welcome addition.
