Although most players may favor wielding a dagger in each hand as the Duchess, the Wakizashi becomes an option whenusing a katana in one handand this smaller blade in the other. This dagger also causes blood loss, making it another great option for those hoping to have a build that focuses on status ailments.

Besides players being able to further improve this starting weapon using Smithing Stones while within an expedition, players can also use relics that they apply to the Duchess and other heroes to give the dagger a status ailment or other damage types that will improve the Duchess' chances against the Night Lords.

Although almost any bow will do with Duchess, a great option that players should look out for is the Horn Bow.
Unlike any regular bow, the Horn Bow doesn’t only do physical damage, but also magic. It’s important to make the most of the attributes the hero has, and, since the Duchess already has a brilliant intelligence score, this magic damage is certain to pack a punch, especially when making the most of her skills, such as Restage to double the damage done by her.
Although a player will likely wish to keep to daggers or Katanas, those who are looking for something to swap away from their starting weapon with should look no further than the rapiers ofNightreignwhen they are playing as the Duchess. As mentioned, the Duchess is best suited for quick weaponry, and therefore, the various thrusting swords are some of the best for her.
Although many of the rapiers are great options for her, those looking for a strong sword should be sure to choose Antspur Rapier if the option appears for them. Scarlet Rot is one ofthe best status ailments in the gamedue to how quickly it eats away at the health of the enemy. This is made even more useful by how quickly the Duchess can use it alongside her skills.
Those who are looking for a mix of range and melee in a single weapon should look no further than the Glintstone Kris for Duchess. As another weapon that scales with both Dexterity and Intelligence, the Glintstone Kris was practically made for the Duchess to use.
It deals a decent amount of damage up close, with it doing both physical and magic damage. However, the Glintstone Kris truly shines when players are attacking from afar, as players are able to cast Glintstone Dart directly from the blade without needing to swap into any sort of staff.

While the majority of players may stick to melee weapons that have some sort of Intelligence scaling, Duchess is considered by many players to be another caster class for many to enjoy. Therefore, some may instead wish to build their Duchess to make the most ofall sorts of magic, while using melee weapons to regain their FP.
The sort of staff the player uses doesn’t actually matter too much to the player, and they should therefore instead focus on finding a staff that has some of the strongest magic on it. Once again, when playing as the Duchess, the player can increase the amount of damage done by these powerful spells through the Restage ability.
There might be better katanas than Moonveil. However, since players should be going for the equipment that best fits the hero they are playing as Moonveil has great potential. This magical katana fits perfectly with the attributes of the Duchess.
Alongside the usual status ailment of Blood Loss that is inflicted by every single katana inNightreign, Moonveil also deals a decent amount of magic damage. The strength of this weapon doesn’t stop there. Moonveil also comes with its own unique Ash of War known as Transient Moonlight, where players follow this Ash of War with either a light or strong attack that deals an intense amount of damage.

Players should always be aiming for the purple rarity weapons, at least when looking for powerful options, with one of the greatest daggers for the Duchess being Reduvia.
Blood Loss continues to be a great status ailment option for players, as even though none ofthe Night Lordsare directly weak to it, many of them still take a great amount of damage from Blood Loss. Similar to Moonveil, this is another weapon with its own unique Ash of War, which increases the blood loss damage done by Reduvia even further, as well as allowing players to use this attack from a short distance.
