Quick Links
Enhancement Prisms are one of the main upgrade materials inDestiny 2, and players who want to challenge harder content will need plenty of these items to feed to their gear. They’re somewhat hard to come by, but once you know what to do and where to go, you’ll be swimming in prisms in no time.
If you plan on hittingDestiny 2’sLight Level capwith a set of fully-upgraded gear, then you’ll need tons of Enhancement Prisms. Here’s a quick guide to help you farm as much of these upgrade materials as quickly and/or as easily as possible.
Where to Get Enhancement Prisms in Destiny 2
There are a variety of ways to get Enhancement Prisms, butthe most rewarding is to do Grandmaster Nightfalls. Completing missions in this endgame activity yields tons of rewards, including Enhancement Prisms, Ascendant Shards,Nightfall-exclusive Adept loot, and the usual gaggle of rewards, including Glimmer and gear.
However, GM Nightfalls are significantly more difficult than regular strikes and normal Nightfall missions, so you’ll need well-optimized builds, a good team, and knowledge of the mission you’re about to challenge. Solo players may have trouble farming GM Nightfalls, but don’t worry — there are two more ways to get Enhancement Prisms without doing this activity.
Lower difficulty Nightfalls also reward Enhancement Prisms. Master difficultymayreward more Enhancement Prisms.
Complete Expert Lost Sectors
If you’re not interested in grinding GM Nightfalls, thenExpert Lost Sectors(previously Legend Lost Sectors) is a great place to farm Enhancement Prisms inDestiny 2. They’re still relatively difficult compared to other difficulties, but if you finish them solo, you’ll also get a chance to get some Lost Sector-specific Exotic armor pieces.
You can raise the difficulty of Expert Lost Sectors to Master if you want a harder challenge (and potentially better rewards), but if all you want is to grind for Enhancement Prisms, then the default difficulty is more than enough.
Expert Lost Sectors change daily, and some maps are easier than others. If you don’t get Enhancement Prisms, you’ll at least get Enhancement Cores, which you may use for the method below.
Material Conversion
If you have an abundance of Enhancement Cores, you can convert 10 of them (plusa fair bit of Glimmer) into 1 Enhancement Prism by visiting Master Rahool at the Tower. This is the most convenient way to get Enhancement Prisms, but it’s also the most expensive, especially considering how Enhancement Cores are also important to account progression.
Players who have been farming other activities will likely get Enhancement Cores during their playtime, and if you have way more cores than you know what to do with, then converting them to Enhancement Prisms is one way to make use of them.
