Summary
While most villains inMy Hero Academiawill appear throughout the course of the series, numerous times to confront the heroes, some are much more of a rare occurrence. In fact, there were several villains who only ever appeared a single time in the entire story before they were inevitably taken down for good. While these sorts of villains tend to be pretty weak, the fact that they get such a limited amount of screen time only ends up making them all the more intriguing as fans theorize what they can truly achieve with their Quirks, and who they even are.
How these specific individuals even became villains in the first place is also unknown, but then again, this does make sense considering the majority of them are not all that relevant to the story. With that being said, though, it’s time to get away from the likes of Shigaraki and Dabi for a moment to instead take a closer look at the villains inMy Hero Academiawho only make a single cameo.
5Eri’s Guard
With A Screen Time Length Of Roughly Three Seconds, Barely Anything Is Known About This Unlucky Villain
Overhauls' pack of goons is a pretty memorable cast of villains, though one member of his gang who doesn’t get anywhere near as much screentime as the others is this unnamed guardian of Eri. After accidentally letting the young girl wander off, which almost led to her escaping withDeku and Mirio, Overhaul returns to his base and proceeds to kill the unnamed villain moments after he tries to apologize.
As a result of him only being on screen a single time, barely anything is known about this individual aside from the fact that he was a loyal servant of Overhaul. Still, as someone who was in charge of watching over Eri, it’s clear that he was far from incompetent and could have potentially been a pretty dangerous threat if he had been involved in the fight against heroes a little later on in the arc.
4Teruo Hazukashi
Inspired By The Words Of The Late Destro, Teruo Defied His Company And Turned On Them
At roughly the midpoint of theMy Hero Academiastory, fans are introduced to the legacy of Destro, a man who believed people should be able to use their quirks whenever and wherever they please, without hero restrictions holding them back. In the modern day, this has inspired many regular people to turn on society and take matters into their own hands; a prime example of this being Teruo.
While he was once a simple businessman, after reading about Desto in his autobiography, Teruo turned on his company and was seemingly ready to attack them withhis rather unusual Shame Quirk, which turns his embarrassment into strength. Thankfully, he was swiftly taken down by Hawks before he could do anything outlandish, but this could have been the origin story of a much bigger villain had he been allowed to spread more chaos.
3Mustard
Mustard Was Left Behind By The League Of Villains And Never Seen Again
Mustard shows up as part of the League of Villains during their attack on the forest training camp. As someone withan immensely powerful Quirkthat can deal significant damage by spreading gas in the area surrounding him, it was easy to believe Mustard was going to be a constant thorn in the hero’s sides, but that isn’t exactly what ended up happening.
While Mustard puts up a valiant effort against the heroes at the forest training camp, after a long and grueling battle, he’s eventually taken down by Tetsutetsu and promptly arrested. Unlike Muscular, who would break out of his imprisonment a few arcs down the line, Mustard is never seen again, making this the only time fans get to watch this pretty fascinating villain in action.
2Dictator
One Of The Many Dangerous Criminals Who Escaped The Confines Of Tartarus Prison
Fans might remember Dictator as thatodd-looking villainwho shows up to take on Midoriya near the end of the Dark Hero Arc. While it initially seemed as though this guy was going to be a significant threat, especially considering he can create an army of followers in mere seconds, it’s not long after his introduction that he’s taken down by Bakugo and the others after they decide to intercept Midoriya to bring him back to UA.
Dictator’s Quirk works a little differently from the one possessed by Trumpet, as while the latter is able to rally people to his cause with courageous words, Dictator fully controls them. As someone who was able to possess dozens of humans at one time, he may have actually been a pretty difficult foe for Midoriya to deal with, though, considering he was arrested pretty much as soon as he was introduced, this fight ended up being cut short.
1Ending
An Obsessed Endeavor Fan Who Tries To Turn The Hero Back Into A Violent Monster
Ending is a rather peculiar villain who only shows up a single time during the Endeavor Agency arc. Ending appears out of nowhere to kidnap Natsuo, one of Endeavor’s sons. His goal was for Endeavor to kill him in cold blood, so the hero could revert to his violent and merciless persona of the past, considering that by this point in the story, Endeavor had started to soften up a little bit after reaching the number one hero spot.
While Ending’s White Lines Quirk is a little tricky to deal with,Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugoare eventually able to take the criminal down by using their abilities at the same time to outmaneuver him. It really does feel like Ending could have been a recurring villain who could have acted as the foil to Endeavor, constantly trying to remind him that he can never escape his brutal past, both as a man and a hero.
