Summary
While it’s common knowledge that a person needs to be at least somewhat powerful to become a hero inMy Hero Academia, only a select few characters have been able to demonstrate the maximum potential of their abilities throughout the story. Some of the most epic scenes in theMy Hero Academiastory have been when key individuals are able to put their power on full display as part of a battle, showcasing to everyone why they have earned such a prestigious reputation within society.
Of course, this can also apply to the villains, who will often aim to invoke fear into those who look down on them by letting their Quirks run rampant as part of a giant attack. Needless to say, when someone decides to showcase their strength inMy Hero Academia, it usually results in intense and memorable moments that are always a feast for the eyes, with these being the biggest examples. Before jumping in, this list will contain spoilers up to the end of the manga.

8Red Riot Unleashes The True Potential Of His Quirk
Eijiro Surprised Everyone When He Went All-Out Against Overhaul’s Goons
While most of the Class 1-A students will get at least a few moments to shine throughout the series, one who gets a surprising amount of attention is Eijiro Kirishima, also known as Red Riot. During the attack on Overhaul’s base, Red Riot teams up with Fat Gum to take on a few of the mafia villain’s goons, and though Fat Gum is a Pro Hero, it was Eijiro who stole the show here, and ultimately saved the fight for both of them.
After tapping into his Quirk’s ability, Eijiro is able toharden his bodyto a point where he can take numerous hard-hitting attacks without feeling a scratch. Eijiro also looks downright badass in this form, demonstrating just how powerful a lot of the students can truly become by putting in the work to master their personal Quirks.
7Mirko Wipes Out Multiple Nomus
The Energetic Pro-Hero Wastes No Time Obliterating Multiple High-Ends
Over the course of the series, it’s established that the High-End Nomus that the villains continue churning out are immensely strong. These bulky mutants are far from easy to take down, though one wouldn’t think that was the case considering how quickly Mirko is able to flatten an entire group of them once the heroes figure out the location of Dr. Garaki.
The scene of Mirko kicking away an entire batch of Nomus was one that manga readers were eagerly awaiting to be animated, considering how exhilarating it is, andStudio Bonescertainly didn’t disappoint. She may be absent for a good chunk of the series, but this single fight scene reminds viewers why Mirko has earned her position in U-A.
6Midoriya Remains 100% Against Overhaul
Midoriya Uses His Full Power to Bring An End To Overhaul’s Rampage
Though Midoriya first went 100% when he went up against Muscular in the Forest Training Camp, in his battle against Overhaul, he was able to utilize his full strength without tearing his body to pieces thanks toEri’s Rewind Quirk. As a result, fans got to see just how insanely strong One For All truly is when Midoriya destroys Overhaul, who, by that point, had transformed into a giant monster.
There have been plenty of dazzling shows of strength from Midoriya throughoutMy Hero Academia, but this one stands out for how impressive it was for such an early arc in the story. Before Midoriya even acquired his multiple Quirks, he was still finding creative ways to overcome his opponents to keep society safe.
5Dabi’s Flames Go Into Overdrive
Dabi Becomes Completely Numb And Lets His Flames Take Over
It was always clear that Dabi, a member of theLeague of Villains, was powerful, but during the final war, with his emotions at a boiling point, he decided to let his Blueflame completely take over his body. Dabi would become such a threat in this form that the Pro Heroes even declared him a top priority, since if he was able to unleash his flames as part of one final attack, he could easily kill everyone in the surrounding area.
When Todoroki is forced to confront his own brother, he barely makes it through his lethal flame attacks in one piece. Though it had been mentioned a few times that Dabi’s flames were more powerful than Endeavor’s, his actions at the beginning of the final war really put that into perspective.
4United States Of Smash
All Might Uses Up The Last Remnants Of His Quirk To Deliver One Final Devastating Blow
Because All Might had passed One For All down to Midoriya in the very first episode of the show, it means the number 1 hero is essentially running on fumes for the first few arcs. When he’s inevitably confronted by his old arch nemesis, All For One, he knows this will probably be the final time he can take down the evil mastermind for good; if he still has enough strength, that is.
With the whole world watching on in fear, All Might manages to put all of his strength into one final epic attack: United States of Smash. The punch that was heard around the world managed to put an end to All For One, at least for a little while, allowing All Might to end his time as Japan’s top hero with a bang.
3Shigaraki Destroys An Entire City In Seconds
Decay, the powerful Quirk owned by Shigaraki, is strong enough to kill a person just by touching them, but it’s not long before it becomes a lot more dangerous. After allowing the insidious Dr. Garaki to experiment on his body, Shigaraki reaches a whole new level of strength. When the villains infiltrate the hospital in the hopes of intercepting Garaki, they unexpectedly end up re-awakening Shigaraki, who decides to destroy not only the entire hospital, but much of Jaku city in the blink of an eye.
The fact that Shigaraki was more than happy to kill hundreds of people, and that he was able to do it pretty much instantly, made him come across as a genuinely terrifying antagonist, and one who is clearly at his peak in terms of power level andQuirk mastery.
2Star And Stripe Plays God
America’s Top Hero Isn’t Shy About Using Her Overpowered Quirk Against Shigaraki
Despite being one of the most fascinating characters in the series, possessing a Quirk which essentially turns her into a god, Star and Stripe is removed from the story only a few episodes after she is introduced. Nonetheless, she still manages to get acrossjust how broken her Quirk truly isduring her fight against a hyper-powered Shigaraki. New Order allows Star to change the properties of anything she touches after shouting out a rule.
Star and Stripe uses this in a ton of unique ways, such as removing the air itself from small pockets of the sky or making herself invulnerable to damage. By far the most impressive example of Star and Stripe’s power, though, is when she uses the ship’s missiles to flatten Shigaraki into the ground, creating an explosion big enough that it could be seen from mainland Japan.
1Bakugo Keeps Up With All For One
It Turns Out Midoriya Isn’t The Only One Strong Enough To Stop Shigaraki And AFO
Near the beginning of the final war,All For Oneuses Eri’s Rewind Quirk to revert himself back to his youth. While this does make him a hell of a lot stronger, the more damage he takes, the faster the effect works. Bakugo was the only one strong enough to deal significant damage to AFO. During this intense battle, Bakugo awakens his Quirk, using his new Cluster attacks to catch All For One off guard, eventually scoring the victory.
While Bakugo had clearly been trying to keep up with Midoriya throughout the story, it was honestly surprising to see him become so powerful that he was even able to hold his own against AFO. Bakugo may have fallen in battle not long before this, but he certainly came back swinging once he had AFO in his sights.
