Unlike abilities and passives gained during a run,relic bonuses will remain active throughout runsand can be swapped in and out as needed in Roundtable Hold. 3Character Skill Allows Follow-Up Attack
A Fiery Finish To The Claw Shot Skill
One of the most useful relic abilities Wylder players can acquire is Character Skill Allows Follow-Up Attack. Not only does this relic grant Wylder a special attack animation at the end of his Claw Shot grapple if you press the Light Attack button, it also imbues his Greatsword with Fire damage for a short time.
This deals Fire damage on top of your normal Physical (or other elemental) damage. Like the HP Restoration relic, thiseffect is only active when wielding Greatswords. When paired with the Reduce Character Skill Cooldown relic, this allows Wylder to almost always have a source of Fire damage.
2Reduce Character Skill Cooldown
Use Claw Shot More Often
Wylder’s character skill, Claw Shot, allows him to quickly pull small enemies to his location or pull himself rapidly toward a large enemy. Normally this takes about ten seconds to recharge, but if you may get a relic with Reduce Character Skill Cooldown, you’ll be able to grapple almost as often as you swing your sword.
The higher the bonus, the less time it will take for the Claw Shot skill to recharge.
Pair this with the Character Skill Follow-Up Attack relic, and you will be able to imbue your Greatsword with Fire Damage constantly and deal extra damage to grappled foes. Claw Shot is great for combat, but it’s also super useful for exploration and movement.
This ability lets Wylder navigate the world faster when used out of combat, and can be used to escape and heal when on low health. Then, with the cooldown reduction, you can grapple right back into the fight once you’re healed up.
1Art Activation Spreads Fire
Conjure A Temporary Pool Of Fire Damage
The best Wylder relic bonusNightreignplayers can get is the Art Activation Spreads Fire ability. This does not require Wylder to wield a specific weapon (like a Greatsword), but it can take a while to acquire.
Normally, when you use Wylder’s Ultimate Art, Onslaught Strike, he will charge up and release a massive explosion that interrupts enemies and deals a chunk of damage. With this best Wylder relic,Nightreignplayers will leave behind a pool that lingers for a few seconds at the location they used Wylder’s art, dealing constant Fire damage.
This can add up to hundreds of extra Fire damage if the boss doesn’t move away from the pool left behind. However, unless you get very lucky with random relic rolls at the Small Jar Bazaar or in Expedition Rewards, you won’t be able to purchase this relicuntil you beat the fourth Nightlord.
