Summary
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Timeprovides players with the twelve original lives that players likely enjoyed from the first title, as well as two new lives to get stuck into. From lives that cover fighting, gathering, and crafting, there is always something for a player to do inFantasy Life i.
However, not every life in this RPG title is made equally, with some lives being more enjoyable than others. From the simple life of an Angler to theepic battles of a Mercenary, this is every life inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, ranked.
14Angler
Spend Some Time Fishing
Fantasy Life iis like many other RPGs, where players can spend their free time by the water with a rod in their hands, fishing for all sorts of great catches. Players who are looking for a straightforward life should look no further than the Angler, which tasks players with achieving an excellent catch or searching for specific fish.
Although some fish in the waters acrossFantasy Life ican be quite a challenge to bring home, as players level the Angler Life, they will find themselves having a much easier time finding the sweet spots of these fish, which can then either be sold or cooked in various recipes of a different life.
13Hunter
Take Part In Combat With A Bow
The Hunter Life may not be the strongest of the combat lives available, and although it may find itself near the bottom of the list, that doesn’t mean that this life isn’t fun to use. As a Hunter, the player will focus on ranged gameplay when facing the various enemies that are to be encountered both in the past, present, and in Ginormosia.
Players will need torely on their buddieswhen playing as the Hunter to get the attention of these enemies, otherwise, a player will need to improve how often they dodge to avoid any unnecessary damage. Overall, this life is also easy to level, with Arche requiring the player to defeat various foes he has marked.
12Artist
Create Decorations For The Island
Besides the usual lives of the originalFantasy Life, the Artist Life was one of the two new options for players inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Players won’t have this life unlocked at the start of the game and must first progress through the story until they have made it to Chapter 5.
While this life may not be one of the most useful available when compared to many of the other crafting lives inFantasy Life i, an Artist is perfect for those that wish to focus on the island mechanic of the new RPG title. Players are able to craft wall decorations, wallpaper, and flooring, which can be used to decorate their homes.
11Cook
Delicious Meals Boost Stats
Another great crafting life that players should be sure to consider isthe Cook LifeinFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. This is another life, similar to the Artist’s, where players can unlock recipes by leveling up the life or purchasing various recipes from different merchants.
Besides being a great way to use many of the resources players are likely to gather during their adventures, these mouthwatering meals come with their own benefits. Each meal provides players with various buffs that will be necessary when facing harder enemies, as well as giving the player a slight bonus depending on the activities they are planning to do.
10Woodcutter
Wood Is Important For Other Lives
Woodcutter is one of the most valuable gathering lives available inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, since wood is not only important for making various bits of furniture but also for creating various tools and weaponry too. By having the Woodcutter life, the player is able to provide their own wood for these recipes, while also being a simple way to make money, as trees grow back every time a player returns to an area.
Like the Angler life, chopping down trees as a woodcutter is quite simple. Unlocking skills such as the one that reveals the weak point of a tree allows players to chop down any tree with ease, without running out of SP.
9Carpenter
Create Furniture And Some Weapons Or Tools
Returning to the crafting skills once more, as mentioned in the Woodcutter life, the resources gathered through this benefit the Carpenter life greatly, as these resources can be transformed into various bits of furniture, tools, and weaponry.
Although some lives are better than others, lives can work together to get stronger. Therefore, a player would become a woodcutter to harvest resources, then the Carpenter life can be used to create a stronger bow for a Hunter or an axe for the Woodcutter. This is anotheraddictively fun mini-gamefor players to challenge themselves with, as leveling up this life requires the player to build various things, some requiring more steps than others.
8Alchemist
Potions And Charms Are Always Useful
Crafting lives continues to be some of the best inFantasy Life i, with the Alchemist being one of the greatest due to how valuable the things the player can craft are. Like cooking, where players earn buffs from the meals they have created, the Alchemist can unlock or purchase various recipes to make concoctions that can refill the player’s HP or SP. Players can even buff their attack or magic, depending on the potion.
Alchemists don’t only make potions, as this crafting mini-game can also be used to create charms. Equipping a charm will usually increase the base value of something the character has, although, depending on how successful the player was at crafting it, they can also have added bonuses.
7Farmer
Grow And Harvest Various Crops For Cooking
Alongside the Artist, Farmer was the other new life available to players withFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Likeany good Life Simulation title, farming has become incredibly popular in recent years, meaning players can even set up vegetable patches on their island to harvest their crops.
This is another life inFantasy Life ithat players don’t have access to when they first start the game, and instead unlock the chance to purchase the license for the Farmer once they make it to the end of Chapter 4. These crops can be used in various cooking recipes or sold in Ginormosia to gain a different currency.
6Tailor
Wield A Needle To Make Strong Clothing
Clothing may seem like something a player doesn’t need to pay much attention to. However, those who encounter enemies both during the main story and while enjoying a combat life will need to improve their defenses, especially when playing as the squishier combat lives.
As a Tailor, the player can craft not only the clothes of other lives, but also stronger clothing that can be equipped either for its stats or simply for its appearance. Players can also create other equipment, such as capes, which can further increase their stats or simply look good, though one of the best bits of the Tailor life is its adorable outfits as they level, with the sheep hat being one of the best.
5Mercenary
One Of The Deadliest Combat Lives
Even though the Mercenary is one of the slowest combat lives, any player who wishes to deal major damage while swinging around a huge sword is sure to love this combat life over the others. Leveling in the same way as Hunter, players can become a master Mercenary by defeating the enemies they are tasked with fighting, as well as making the most of the various skills that can be unlocked in the Skill Board.
As mentioned, the biggest downfall of the Mercenary life is its speed. Therefore, this is another life where players will need tomaster dodgingand looking for the best moment to attack if they want to successfully use this life.
