Summary
While there are plenty of fun and unique classes to choose from when loading into a match ofStar Wars Battlefront 2, the most exciting part is being able to jump onto the battlefield as a hero. From iconic Jedi warriors to dangerous Sith Lords, there’s a plethora of classicStar Warscharacters to choose from, and while they already look incredible thanks to the game’s outstanding graphics, players are also free to customize them by throwing on a new costume.
Considering the staggering number of skins that are featured inBattlefront 2, it means they all differ quite a bit in terms of their overall quality and style. However, there are definitely a few that have become real standouts, some of which being direct references to the movies and shows, while others are entirely new creations made by DICE themselves. Without further ado, it’s time to rank the very best skins inBattlefront 2from a purely visual perspective.
8Kylo Ren - Supreme Leader
Kylo Looks Especially Intimidating With This Dark And Menacing Skin
Kylo Ren already looks pretty intimidating in his regular outfit, but the Supreme Leader alternate costume ramps this up to a whole new level. With his hood down and his lightsaber by his side, Kylo Ren looks more than ready to take on anyheroic Jediwho dares to stand in his way.
While it’s definitely nice to also have skins that feature Kylo Ren without his mask, this is arguably the most recognizable and interesting part of his design, so having it be the focus is what makes the Supreme Leader outfit so special. It may not go very over the top, but it really doesn’t need to as it’s already quite a looker, and a skin that all Kylo Ren players will definitely want to pick up.
7Exquisite Pajamas - Count Dooku
Dooku Looks Like He Just Got Out Of Bed To Partake In An Epic Battle
It’s clear that Dice had a lot of fun re-creating this rather wacky outfit for theSith Lord Count Dooku, and while it’s a little bizarre, it’s still a ton of fun to use in a match. As the name of the skin suggests, Count Dooku decides to keep on his exquisite PJs which, in classic Sith fashion, are entirely black and made out of premium silk.
It’s hilarious to imagine Count Dooku rolling out of bed just to partake in a big and explosive battle against the Jedi, but it’s an idea that has actually become a reality thanks to this humorous outfit.
6Han Solo - Hoth
Han Wraps Up Warm In A Familiar Outfit For The Fight Ahead
Star Warsfans will immediately be able to recognize this outfit fromThe Empire Strikes Backmovie, which Han Solo wears near the beginning when he goes on his search for Luke out on thesnowy planet of Hoth. The skin entirely changes Han’s outfit, with his rugged scoundrel attire being replaced with a big thick wooly jacket, a large face mask, and even a pair of goggles, making Han look like a true adventurer about to embark on an epic journey across the frozen wastes.
Han changes his appearance quite often throughout the franchise, but this look might just be his most iconic and the big reason why it is so commonly seen online. While it’s a stunning skin in its own right, it looks especially great when playing on Hoth, where it can feel suitably fitting for the inhospitable environment that players find themselves in.
5General Kenobi - Obi-Wan
Obi-Wan Kicks It Back To His Days In The Clone Wars
While Obi-Wan’s Jedi robes have become synonymous with the character, his most detailed and eye-catching look is definitely his general armor, which he wore during theClone Wars. While parts of his traditional outfit can still be seen with the robes covering his legs, what makes the skin so different from his original outfit is the bright white armor plate on his chest, emphasizing his loyalty to the Clones and their efforts in fighting back against the Separatist Droid Army.
There are also quite a few smaller additions that go a long way in making the skin stand out, such as Obi-Wan’s black gloves and the bulky shoulder pads that protect him from incoming damage. While it’s a fantastic skin, it’s one that longtime fans of the franchise, and especially the Clone Wars, will come to love the most.
4Darth Maul - Old Master
Darth Maul’s Only Alternative Skin Is A Pretty Special One
This skin for Darth Maul is somewhat of anEaster eggthat hardcore fans ofStar Warswill no doubt be very familiar with. For context, this is how Darth Maul usually looks throughout much of theStar Wars Rebelsanimated series, sporting black body armor that is completely sleeveless, exposing his bright red skin and black markings covering his entire body.
Considering so many of the Sith Lords wear the same black robes, this provides a nice breath of fresh air for players who enjoy jumping into the fray as the legendary villain known as Darth Maul. With that being said, though, it’s also extremely difficult to unlock, but this only means that those who do acquire it can be considered true fans of the character andBattlefront 2as a whole.
3General Grievous - Shattered Armor
The Dangerous Droid Commander Looks Truly Badass In This Bruised And Battered Form
General Grievous undoubtedly has one of the most unique appearances in all ofStar Wars, but there’s something about this alternative form, which manages to make him look even more badass and eye-catching than usual. Grievous actually has two skins in the game that add a little bit of rust and damage to his armor, but this one is definitely the best of the two because of the staggering amount of detail that has gone into it.
If players look closely, they’ll be able to see burn marks scattered all around Grievous' mechanical body, alongside his inner organs being slightly exposed, just as they were in the latest stages of his fight with Obi-Wan in the third movie. One thing is for sure; this version of Grievous can effortlessly send a chill down the spine of any foot soldier who lays their eyes on it, which is a testament to just how effective it is as a design choice.
2Princess - Leia
Leia’s Iconic Original Look Is One All Longtime Fans Will Want To Get Their Hands On
A New Hopeis one of the most iconic films ever made, and one aspect of it that many people remember, other than the compelling characters and fun story, are the outfits. This especially applies to Leia, who, for most of the movie, even when she’s involved in combat, wears her classic princess robes and space bun hairstyle.
While it’s a basic design, it’s also one that perfectly contrasts with Leia’s serious and stoic personality, making it initially seem like she may be afemme fatale, before she then blasts away her enemies with a deadly laser pistol. Leia actually has quite a few skins inBattlefront 2, including her Hoth and Endor costumes, but this one ranks just a little higher than those because of its memorability and legendary status within the franchise as a whole.
1Lando Calrissian - Professional “Sportsman”
A Younger And More Vibrant Look For Han’s Old Friend
Despite only being a side character inEmpire Strikes Back, Lando would quickly become a fan favorite, even making an appearance in the Han Solo standalone movie many years after his initial introduction. This skin is a direct reference to that particular movie, as it’s modeled after Donald Glover’s take on the character, rather than Billy Dee Williams from the original trilogy, but that’s not the only thing that changes. Lando also sports a very snazzy, slick, and vibrant yellow jacket, which provides a very nice alternative to his regular outfit.
It’s always nice when a skin drastically revamps the way the character looks, but this Professional Sportsman outfit really goes above and beyond to ensure players feel like they are controlling someone completely different, while still retaining Lando’s iconic dialogue and snarky attitude in-game. Then again, nobody else would be able to pull off something this fashionable in the universe ofStar Warsquite as well as Lando Calrissian.
