Having a diverse arsenal of the best TH9 armies isn’t just helpful – it’s essential for dominating Clan Wars, securing precious loot, and truly making a mark. Think of these top-tier strategies as the ultimate raid blueprints. These army strategies are listed below – from the brute force of a Golem wipe to the surgical strike of a Queen Charge, each army bringing its own flavor of chaos.

Healer – Giant – Hog

8HGH (Healer – Giant – Hog)

The Giant Hog Rush And Healer Combo

HGH rolls in with a ground-based mix of Giants, Hog Riders, and Healers, backed by Wizards and Archers for support. A reliable ground strategy that leverages the tanking power of Giants sustained by Healers, creating an opening for a devastating wave of Hog Riders.

Deploy giants as they act as tanks, followed closely by the Healers. Hogs can swoop in to shred defenses and keep them alive with a few healing spells. Use Wizards and the Barbarian King to establish a funnel, ensuring the Giants push inwards. Deploythe Archer Queenbehind the Giants. Use the Rage spell to help the core push penetrate the base and wreak havoc.

Golem - Witch - Wizard

7GoWiWi (Golem – Wizard – Witch)

The Golem And The Witch Combo

This strategy relies on the formidable tanking of Golems, thehigh DPS of Wizards, and the relentless Skeleton swarms generated by Witches. This army aims to grind through bases with a wide, persistent push, overwhelming defenses through sheer numbers and sustained firepower. It’s less about surgical precision and more about a methodical, rolling advance.

An effective GoWiWi composition consists of 2 Golems, 8–12 Witches, and 15–20 Wizards, plus a few Archers for cleanup. Players can pack 2 Jump spells, 1–2 Rage, and a Poison spell. Deploy Golems wide apart to tank multiple defenses. Follow immediately with a line of witches and two clusters of wizards to clean up after the Golems. Use Jump spells strategically to open paths into and through the base’s core compartments, and Rage spells to sustain the destruction.

Golem, Pekka, Wizard

6GoWiPe (Golem – Wizard – Pekka)

The Infamous Classic Tank Sweep

This strategy is famous amongClash of Clansfans, known for its brute-force approach. Use Golems to absorb damage, Wizards to clear buildings and provide ranged support, and mighty Pekkas to smash through the core. While often labeled a “two-star strategy,” a well-executed GoWiPe can still deliver three stars at TH9, especially against certain base designs.

A standard TH9 GoWiPe army consists of 2 Golems, 3-4 Pekkas, around 15 Wizards, and a few Wall Breakers. Spell composition can vary, but players must have 2 Rage spells and at least 1 Healing spell. Funneling is crucial. If Pekkas or Heroes walk around the base instead of going inside, the attack is doomed. GoWiPe is relatively easy to learn, making it a decent choice for less competitive attacks.

Golem, Witch, Wizard

5Witch Slap

The Skeleton Swarm

Witch Slap unleashes chaos with 10 Witches, 2 Golems, and 3 Healers, paired with 1-2 Heals, 1–2 Rages, and a Jump. Skeletons flood the base, overwhelming defenses while Witches hang back. This strategy floods the base with an overwhelming tide of Skeletons summoned by Witches, supported by Healers. It’s surprisingly effective and less reliant on perfect spell timing than some other attacks.

Splash damage is its kryptonite here, and Wizard Towers can sometimes ruin the party, so be aware. Once the flanks start to clear, deploy the Golem in the center, followed by the remainingWizards and Heroes. Use the Rage spells and heal spells on the central kill squad and watch them destroy the base.

Queen Walk Hog Troops

4Queen Walk Hog

The Surgical Ground Assault

Combining the elegance of a Queen Walk with the brute force of Hog Riders creates a devastatingly effective TH9 strategy. This attack requires precision and multitasking but offers immense potential for dismantling bases. For this strategy, take 4–5 healers forthe Archer Queen, 25–30 Hogs, and a few Wizards.

Start the Queen Walk on one side of the base. Use the Barbarian King and a few Wizards to create the funnel on the other side. Use Heal spells proactively over areas with splash damage. Deploy the Hog Riders in surgical groups targeting the defenses, and they’ll clear the path for the queen to wreak havoc.

Dragon, Balloon, archer

3Zap Dragons

The Air Raid That Rains Down Destruction

Simple, effective, and visually spectacular. Zap Dragons leverage the power of Lightning Spells to eliminate critical Air Defenses before unleashing a wave of Dragons. With 10 Dragons, 3 Balloons, and 7 Lightning spells, the player is all set to completely eviscerate the enemy base.

Spell placement is critical. Zoom in and ensure the Lightning Spells hit the targeted Air Defenses directly. Once this is done, create a funnel using the Barbarian King and Archer on the flanks. Deploy the Dragons in a tight group aimed toward the remaining Air Defenses. It’s slightly vulnerable to perfectly placed traps or spread-out Air Defenses, but still, it’s undeniably a powerful strategy.

Golem, Valkyrie, Hog raider, Wizards

2GoVaHo (Golem – Valkyrie – Hog)

This kill squad, led by Golems and powered by Valkyries, rips open the core, while Hogs sweep through the remaining defenses. It’s speed and power rolled into one deadly package. A common GoVaHo build includes 2 Golems, 8–10 Valkyries, 14–18 Hog Riders, and around 6–8 Wizards for funneling.

Deploy the Golem to tank. Use Wizards to create a funnel. Deploy the Valkyries and the Heroes into the funnel toward the core. Use Healing spells proactively to keep the Hogs alive and watch them take out every defense on sight. Valkyries are fast! Ensure the funnel is set before deploying them, or they might run ahead of the Golem and get targeted.

Healer, Lava hound, Balloon

1Queen Charge LavaLoon

The Ultimate Air Dominator

Queen Charge LavaLoon reigns supreme with the Queen, 4 Healers, 2 Lava Hounds, and close to 20 Balloons. Players can take spells like 2–3 Rages, 3–4 Hastes, and a Poison. The Queen clears air defenses and threats, then LavaLoon rains destruction. It’san army strategycapable of cracking any TH9 base with practice.

Identify an entry point where the Queen can charge in (using Wall Breakers if needed). Use Rage spells on the Queen and Healers when under heavy fire or to speed up progress. Carefully deploy the balloons so they move efficiently from one defense to the next, under the cover of Lava Hounds. Spell placement is key and could help players bag that three-star victory.
