Summary

Respawn Entertainment has rolled out a new update forApex Legends, addressing some frustrating bugs players have encountered in the battle royale. Season 25 ofApex Legendsstarted on May 6, bringing lots of new content to the game. While this new May 29 update is minor in comparison, it should improve the experience for some players.

WithApex Legendsbeing over six years old, Respawn has faced the challenge of keeping the game relevant. To add some more excitement to the experience, the developer introduced thenew Legend Sparrow in Season 25, adding another Recon Class character. In addition, Arenas has returned, bringing back the older mode. Returning as an LTM, the mode features some significant changes, such as players only being able to use a weapon once per match. Unfortunately,Apex Legendshas faced some significant bugs since the latest season launched. However, the developer is working to squash many of these through updates.

The most recent of these updates came on May 29 and included various fixes. Among the changes, the update addressed an issue with reactive G7 Scout skins. In addition, the developer adjusted the hitbox for Sparrow’s Ultimate inApex Legends. While Respawn did not go into detail, players had previously complained about the size of the Stinger Bolt, as they believed it allowed enemies to use it too easily as cover. Besides Sparrow, the developer fixed an issue with Bloodhound’s Tactical indicator.

Some of the other notable things in the patch notes included fixes for crashes related toArenas inApex Legends. This should hopefully make the LTM more stable for players while it remains in the game. The season’s new Ranked ladder also received some attention, with Respawn resolving problems with the UI and crashes. Furthermore, a Switch-specific flickering issue in the lobby and Thunderdome was addressed, and some changes were made to class perk descriptions.

These are not the only notable bug fixes Respawn has had to make in Season 25. Following its launch, aRevenant exploit inApex Legendswas discovered, allowing the character to become invincible while using his Ultimate, Forged Shadows. As a result, the Legend had to be temporarily removed from the game. While the developer has resolved the issue and reintroduced Revenant, other problems have continued to be reported by players.

Fortunately, Respawn looks committed to squashing bugs as quickly as possible. As this May 29 update evidences, patches will continue to be issued in the weeks ahead. Hopefully, they will help players enjoyApex Legends' Season 25 content.
