Summary

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivionwas always known for its varied and creative quests, but one thing the original game didn’t have was long quest chains. Except for the main story quest and the step-by-step quests that characters can find in their guilds, quest chains went up to three or four steps at most.

That changed with theKnights of the NineDLC, which added a long and detailed quest chain to the game that was just as impressive and time-consuming as the saga of the Septims. This substantial new addition is already included withThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, and these locations will already be on the map even if they haven’t been discovered yet.

fort bulwark oblivion

Players must have already visited the shrines and received the blessing of the Aedra to find the lost armor pieces. Some of the locations are not marked on the map, even after the quest starts, so be warned before heading into the wilderness.

6Fort Bulwark

Find And Retrieve The Shield Of The Crusader

Given that this location is in a lush, verdant swamp, this is alsoa good place to go for Alchemy ingredients, even if the player isn’t doing theKnights of the Ninequest. It’s easy to find by following the road east from Leyawiin and continuing into the wilderness, keeping the swamp on the right.

Players can easily miss this obscure location because it’s surrounded by thick trees and plants and is found next to the swampy lowland instead of in the hills above. Sir Henrik, a ghost in the Priory of the Nine, sends the player here to find the Shield of the Crusader.

5Grove Of Trials

Kynareth’s Grotto

Sir Juncan, another ghostly resident of the Priory of the Nine, has entrusted the Boots of the Crusader with Kynareth, one of the Nine Divines. Visit her shrine first, which is located on a high ridge west of the Imperial City, and a friendly adherent named Avita Vesnia will direct the player to the Grove of Trials.

There’s a twist to getting these boots, and the secret to discovering this is to remember the peace and benevolence of Kynareth, who despises fighting and force. Players should be careful not to harm or kill any of the woodland creatures that may appear. They should also keep the boots, because they’re needed for later in the quest chain.

Lord Vindrel’s Tower Oblivion

4Lord Vlindrel’s Tower

Connected By The Lore To Underpall Cave

Despite the reference to Lord Vlindrel, who is the traitor who desecrated the memory of the other knights and stole the Crusader’s Sword, there’s not much here other than a few undeadand some decent loot. Follow the nearby road east and north, however, and players will find Underpall Cave, which contains the tomb of the errant warrior and the sword.

Underpall Cave is an extensive dungeon that features plenty of enemies to face and loot to acquire, and it still exists in the game even without theKnights of the NineDLC. Players can also find it inThe Elder Scrolls Online. The additions include the tomb of Lord Vlindrel and a few changes to the Underpall Reflecting Chamber.

galas malatar oblivion

3Garlas Malatar

The Lair Of Umaril

Oblivion Remasteredplayers can follow the southern coastline along the Abecean Sea to find this impressive Ayelid ruin, and thanks to the winged statue and lofty broken pillars, it is hard to miss. This is the location ofthe final boss, the evil Umarilthat the Prophet warned everyone about, and the last part of this long quest chain.

Galas Malatar contains some ofOblivion’s most dangerous enemies, namely the Auroras, which are the Divine version of Daedric fighters. There are three main zones to this medium-sized dungeon, and Umaril chose it because of its isolated and easily defended location. It doesn’t exist in the old version ofOblivion, but it’s important enough to the lore of the Ayelid Empire to have a place inESO.

Vanua oblivion

2Vanua

Find The Helm Of The Crusader

The entrance to Vanua is underwater, which is why it might be difficult to find at first, so players should have some kind of potion or item handy that grants the power of water-breathing before beginning the search for it. The entrance is to the north of the bridge, and it’s fairly deep and murky, but there’s a circular light shining on the door that can help.

Players shouldbring a heavy weapon to smash the skeletons, which are plentiful here, along with low-level undead like ghosts. Pelinal, one of the ghosts, will tell the player that he left his helmet here after they retrieve the Cuiress from him in the Priory of the Nine.

Oblivion Priory_of_the_Nine

1Priory Of The Nine

Location Of the Boots, Shield, Gauntlets, And Greaves

The Priory of the Nine isone of the unmarked settlementsthat players can discover just by exploring, and it’s a handy place for weary travelers who need food, rest, and supplies. It can be found as long as the player has the DLC or theRemasteredversion, but there aren’t any quests here without talking to the Prophet first.

All of the Knights who direct the player to the armor pieces and the lair of Umaril are located here. Players need to access the secret stairs leading to the Priory Basement and Priory Undercroft, where the restless former Knights of the Nine are waiting to tell their secrets.
