InTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, you’ll come across a side quest called “Brothers in Arms,” where you need to collect Keeper’s Tags from fallen Keepers scattered throughout the world. These tags serve as proof of their sacrifice and must be delivered to Fearghas, the quartermaster at the Horns of the South castle.
While the quest only requires you to find a few tags to complete it, there are 13 Keeper’s Tags hidden across the game world. Collecting and delivering all of them willunlock the “Honor Over Life” achievement/trophy.
All Keeper’s Tag Locations in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
Below, you’ll find the location of each Keeper’s Tag inTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. you may pick them up in any order you like, except for the first Keeper’s Tag found in Island Asylum.
If you’re going for the achievement/trophy, don’t turn in the Keeper’s Tags one by one. This will cause the quest to end, and Fearghas won’t accept the rest of the tags from you, locking you out of the trophy.
Island Asylum/Ninian’s Tag (Keeper’s Tag 1)
The first Keeper’s Tag to unlock the trophy/achievement can be found in Island Asylum, the prologue region of the game,and it’s entirely missable. After Caradoc frees you, keep moving forward, defeating the Red Priests and Undead enemies along the way. Eventually, you’ll find a locked door requiring the Laboratory Key to get in.
Loot the key from the body of the Red Priest on the bridge nearby and enter the room. Now, kill the enemies and talk to the NPC that they were experimenting on. Agree to kill him and loot the Ninian’s Tag from his body afterward.
Near the Starting Area (Keeper’s Tag 2)
The second Keeper’s Tag can be picked up as soon as you wash up on the shoreat the start of Act 1ofTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. From the beach, head west, and you’ll find an abandoned camp with a Corpse Eater enemy. Defeat the monster and loot the nearby corpse to find the second Keeper’s Tag.
The Flooded Mine (Keeper’s Tag 3 & 4)
The Flooded Mine, located near The Peninsula fast travel point, has two Keeper’s Tags that you can collect before you even reach the castle. Head towards the location marked on the map to find the entrance to the Flooded Mine dungeon. The first Keeper’s Tag is located beside the entrance.
For the next one, head inside the Flooded Mine. In the area with water, swim across and go through the tunnel on the right. Instead of crossing the bridge, dive into the water and start swimming towards the opening on the left. Keep swimming forward to find a dead Keeper between some rocks underwater. This is where you’ll find this Keeper’s Tag.
Near a Druidic Shrine on the Beach (Keeper’s Tag 5)
Stay on the beach and keep heading west. You’ll eventually arrive at an area with two wooden huts and some Redcap monsters. Defeat the monsters and check the huts. There’s a dead Keeper in the western hut carrying a Keeper’s Tag that you may loot.
Pate’s Tag (Keeper’s Tag 6)
You’ll find Keeper Pate on the northern wall of Horns of the South castle. Talk to him, and he’ll ask you to read him a letter. Choose “I’ll read it for you.” Then, read the Letter from a Keeper’s Sister in your inventory and talk to him again.
Tell him the truth about the Letter, and no matter what you choose next, he will jump to his death. Rest at a nearby camp and go outside the castle and check the area under the wall where he was stationed earlier. You’ll find his dead body on the ground and can loot it for a Keeper’s Tag, along with some other items.
Lighthouse (Keeper’s Tag 7)
Head to the second lighthouse at the back of the Horns of the South castle. Once you get to the entrance,go left past the copper ore. You’ll find a dead Keeper near a chest, and you can loot the body for a Keeper’s Tag.
Sunken Village (Keeper’s Tag 8, 9, & 10)
There are three Keeper’s Tags inthe Sunken Village arealocated north of Horns of the South. This area is swarming with monsters, so you’ll want to be careful while collecting these tags.
Head to the center of the village with the large interconnected wooden houses. Go up the stairs and cross the bridge. Once you cross the bridge, go inside the house on the right and go up to find the first Keeper’s Tag for the location. For the next one, go back out and move past the bridge to reach a tower. Turn right immediately after entering the tower to spot another dead Keeper.
For the final Keeper’s Tag in this area, go to the fast travel point of the zone. Go to the southern edge of the beach and swim across to the other side. From here, head through the large passage in the ravine to find a dead Keeper at the end,along with an Origin Potion.
You’ll find a dead Keeper in the open area below King’s Road, heading towards Archspire. From the King’s Road fast travel point, look for an opening in the wall to go through. Now, look for a large boulder in the area marked on the map to find the next Keeper’s Tag.
Gallows (Keeper’s Tag 12)
If you’ve picked up the Bounty for Fingerless Colm, finding this location is easy. Just follow the quest marker and defeat the Bandit Leader located near the East Gate fast travel point. You’ll find a dead Keeper in the same area as Fingerless Colm on a wooden platform.
Forgotten Cemetery (Keeper’s Tag 13)
Go to the Forgotten Cemetery Crypt and head to the room where you found the Necromancer. On the northern side of the room, you’ll find a small opening through the rocks. Jump up the rocks and go through it. Follow the narrow passages, and you’ll eventually find a dead Keeper’s body on your right in a small opening. You can also drop down from this area after picking up the tag to get outside.
Once you’ve picked up all the Keeper’s Tags, you can talk to Fearghas back at the castle to turn them all in at once. This will complete the Brothers in Arms quest and also unlock the Honor Over Life achievement/trophy inTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
