However, to get these exclusive tools, players may need to track down Hero Caches—special loot chests that provide high-tier rewards based on the player’s Hero Rank. Where To Find Hero Caches In Fortnite
Hero Caches are a unique type of chest available inFortniteChapter 6 Season 3, and they are closely tied to a player’s Hero Rank.
These caches can befound in nearly all named POIs across the island, withtheir locations often highlighted on the map and minimapsonce they are made available.Supernova Academy and Utopia Cityare among the most reliable areas to search for one, but players can generally find them in all named POIs.
While Hero Cache spawns can be somewhat RNG-dependent, one guaranteed location stands out—thebasement of the Tech Lab at Supernova Academy, located in the eastern building of the POI.
Inside the Tech Lab, players willdiscover several secret rooms, each marked with a specific Hero Rank requirement.To unlock a room, simply stand near the door while having the corresponding Hero Rank or higher and interact with it.
Once inside, players willfind a Hero Cache along with Academy Standsoffering Hero Items. Additionally, various items will be available for purchase using Gold Bars, ranging from Epic weapons to powerful Boons.
While the Tech Lab at Supernova Academy is the only location where players can find these locked rooms, additional Tech Labs are set to debut throughout the season.
How To Open Hero Caches In Fortnite
Unlike regular chests inFortnite, Hero Caches come with a unique requirement that players must meet before opening them. These special caches may often be locked when first discovered, requiring players toincrease their Hero Rank to gain access.
Each Hero Cache displays the minimum Rank needed to unlock it, andthe rewards inside scale based on the Rank requirement.Once players reach the required Hero Rank, they can open the Hero Cache.
