Alone in the Darkis the title shared bymultiple different games in the same franchise. The first was released back in 1992 and serves as the first game in the franchise. In 2008, there was a release for both previous-generation and current-generation consoles. While they share the same name, the games themselves are completely different.
This trophy/achievement guiderefers to the 2024 game, which released on the PS5, Series X, and Windows. This is a great choice for trophy/achievement hunters, as it will take them a relatively short amount of time without any roadblocks. However, there are quite a lot of missable trophies, so having a guide can help out a lot.

Kill a monster with an opportunity
Players will have numerous occasions to use an opportunity item to kill an enemy. Once they accomplish this task, this will unlock.
Come At Me!
Kill a monster with a melee weapon
Once players find any melee weapon, use it to kill any enemy for this to unlock. Many games can really shine witha good close-range combat system.
Now You’re On the Trolley!
Kill a monster with a ranged weapon
This will unlock when players kill their first enemy using a ranged weapon.
I Don’t Got All Night!
Finish the game in 3 hours or less
Playing through the game on a first playthrough beforehand can make this seem like a daunting undertaking. However, the game can actually be completed in under 30 minutes. The best way to prepare for this task would be to watch somespeedrunners tear through the gamein record time. Even if it takes players twice as long as the speedrunners, that will still give an extra 2 hours of wiggle room.

Finish a Lagniappe set
There are many lagniappe sets in the game. These can be used to get secret endings. Whenever players complete a lagniappe set, they will get some lore about the game. Complete any of these sets.
You Can’t Keep Me Out!
Open all of the safes and locks in the game
This will trigger once players have opened all the game’s safes and locks.
Chatterbox
Talk to everybody about everything
Some NPCs will need to be spoken to multiple times tosee all of their dialogue. Expend all NPC dialogues to trigger this.
Find all the lagniappes
Watch Out Where You’re Waving That Thing
Aim your gun at a human being
Aim in the direction of an innocent human NPC. Doing so will trigger this to unlock.
What Just Happened?
Give Grace a present
Complete the “All the World’s a Stage” lagniappe set. Once they have this set, they can speak with Grace as Edward in Chapter 5 to give her a gift to unlock this achievement/trophy.
Nobody Knows What Happened
Consider ending it all
Complete the “The Hartwood Curse” lagniappe set. Afterward, interact with the noose in the attic of Chapter 4.
Radical Acceptance
Submit to the Dark Man
Complete the “Dying with Dignity” lagniappe set. While playing as Emily in Chapter 4, you may use paint thinner on the portrait. This item can be found by going to Dr. Grey’s Office, accessing the secret door, and checking opposite the wardrobe. Complete Chapter 4 and submit to the Dark Man at the end.
One of the Thousand Young
Join a cult
Complete the “Goat Without Horns” lagniappe set. Give an offering to the tree in the conservatory during Chapter 4. Then, during Chapter 5, players can wait for the tree to call them. This will lead to players being able to side with the Cultists.
Bonfire Night
Kill an enemy with fire
There are Molotovs available throughout different chapters. Use any one of these to burn an enemy to death. Doing so will cause this to unlock.
Hard Boiled
Kill an enemy with the shotgun
Players canget the Shotgunby completing the “Lost Children” lagniappe set. Use this shotgun to kill any enemy for this to trigger.
Gangster
Kill an enemy with Tommy gun
Kill any enemy with the Tommy Gun for this to trigger. Players can get this weapon during Chapter 3 while at the Pregzi Shipping Company.
Teetotaller
Finish the game without drinking from your flask
The best time to go for this trophy/achievement is when you also attempt to complete the game in under 3 hours. This will make for a much shorter attempt.
Librarian
Read all the clues
There are many clues to find in the game, but there are also clues in players' inventories by default that will count towards this.
