The article outlines several confident predictions for the show, notably suggesting thatFinal Fantasy 16,Final Fantasy 7 Remake, andFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthcould be arriving on Xboxvery soon. Although this isn’t confirmation, Corden has a strong track record with Xbox news, and enough time has passed that this wouldn’t be all that surprising.
Final Fantasy Games May be Heading to Xbox
All three major titles have seen PC releases not long after their initial launch on PlayStation consoles. Even theNintendo Switch 2 is confirmed to be gettingFinal Fantasy 7 Remakebefore any word on an Xbox release. With Xbox leaning so heavily into its Game Pass subscription, players may even see all three titles drop on the service at the same time.
If this rumor turns out to be true, the final installment in the remake trilogy may be released simultaneously across all three major platforms, something that could certainly help boost sales. It’s possible that, given Square Enix’s recent multi-platform shift, whatever exclusivity deal was in place for theFinal Fantasyfranchise might finally be coming to an end. That would be good timing for Xbox, especially withSquare Enix recently hinting that aFinal Fantasy 9remakeis in the works. Xbox fans might be in for a treat if the franchise is truly making its return, and they’ve certainly waited long enough.
